Timeline of Nice Attack; Death Toll Rises; 50 Children Injured; 84 Dead (Graphics)

The death toll in the Nice Bastille Day attack has risen to 84 including two children with 18 other citizens critically wounded and not expected to survive. 50 Children have been injured or maimed in the “obvious terror attack.”

The coastal city bordering the Mediterranean Sea, known as the playground for the rich and famous, for its beauty, luxury, was transformed into a scene of horror and carnage.

No terror organization has claimed responsibility for the massacre that used a double axel truck as a weapon plowing into the dispersing crowd still lingering on the Promenade de Anglais enjoying the beauty of the evening.

Citizens from around the world were in the popular tourist destination to celebrate the Day of Freedom, of Liberty in the French Revolution. Two Americans, from Texas, are known to be among those killed.

Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, of French-Tunisian decent, has been identified as the man who drove the truck into a crowd. Bouhlel was killed following a shoot-out with police. His connections or affiliation to any terrorist organization are still unclear.
