The Vault, from Saban Films and Paramount Entertainment, presents a fast action, globetrotting, entertaining heist film complete with all the impossibilities, ingenuity, technological wizardry, gizmo's, and gadgets necessary to access the most secure vault in Spain.

The film begins with an underwater scene of an explosion at the sea surface and the remnants of the cargo floating to the bottom. The next scene moves the film into modern day, with Walter Moreland, a professional treasure hunter, played by Liam Cunningham, working with his diver James, played by Sam Riley, free diving through the ship's broken hull.

A sudden underwater shift causes the ship and surrounding terrain to move, with every second imperative, just as it appears James would be dead, he appears with the most important find of the day, coins from the King of Spain.

A pan of the ship's deck shows the bounty, a treasure which for any collector would be the accomplishment of a life's work. Just as the champagne corks were popping, the ship is surrounded by Spanish military. The seize the recovered artifacts.

This sets up a court date to determine ownership. At the end, Spain secured the victory, and the treasure is moved to Barcelona to be stored in the most secure vault in all of Europe.

Nomadland Review – A Solid Emotional Story and Affecting Performances

At this time the film shifts to University in London, where Thom Laybrick, played by Freddie Highmore, is receiving offers from every top industrialist company in the world. A brilliant engineer, he is the personification of a Gen-X-er, extremely high IQ, and slacker mentality. By the end of the day, each well-dressed corporate recruiter offered him all the perks and financial security most students hope to receive.

At the end of dinner, a mysterious message appears on his phone, with the message "meet me for the offer of your life." It was the most exciting offer he had received all day.

Land Review – Gripping, Mesmerizing, A Directorial Triumph

Leaving dinner, a mysterious women Lorraine, played by Astrid Berges-Frisbey, leading through a glamour maze, through aback door and into a pub where Walter Moreland, the ship's captain explains, his treasure, retrieved and then taken by the Spanish government is in a vault in the Bank of Spain, the most secure vault in the world, and he intends with his crew to access the vault and gather the single most significant artifact.

Explaining they have a team in place, James his loyal friend, Lorraine, best at diversions, Gustavo, played by Jose Coronado, the get anything you need guy, Simon, played by Luis Toser, the tech mastermind, and they need an engineer to complete the team.

Deciding to accept the adventure, Thom arrives where he learns the treasure is not simply hidden in a bank vault, but hidden in a mysterious, impenetrable fortress hidden under The Bank of Spain, designed with a single anti-theft procedure.

The World to Come Review - Compelling, Emotional, Engaging

Set against the backdrop of the World Cup, with Spain advancing to the finals for the first time in history, our daredevils are up against heightened security, thousands of soccer fans cheering in the streets, a hardcore head of security sure the bank will be hit during the finals, leaving the crew have just minutes to pull off the score of a lifetime.

A thrill ride from the beginning, The Vault provides intrigue, fast action, a well-constructed story, building in layers of suspense, high drama, and wows with tech wizardry.

In theaters, on Digital and Demand March 26, 2021. The Vault is a must see!
