Abramorama announced they have partnered with Bright West Entertainment for the nationwide theatrical release of Jessie Deeter's inspiring documentary Hoof Dreams. The film delves into the world of equestrian Eventing and the quest for gender equality in Olympic sports.
Eventing, often referred to as the triathlon of horse sports, combines dressage, show jumping, and cross-country into a single event. Originally developed from cavalry training exercises, it remains one of the few Olympic sports where men and women compete against each other on an equal footing for the same gold medal.

Despite being an Olympic sport since 1912, no woman had won the Individual Gold medal in Eventing since women were first allowed to compete in 1964 in Tokyo. Hoof Dreams follows three female equestrians as they look to shatter the sport's glass ceiling. The film features:
- Julia Krajewski, who recently won the prestigious Aachen Four Star event.
- Lauren Billys, a two-time Olympian representing Puerto Rico.
- Tamra Smith, a Pan American Gold Medalist, Pratoni World Championship Silver Medalist, and former FEI #5 ranked Event rider in the world.
Jessie Deeter's previous works include the Emmy nominated The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley (HBO), Spark: A Burning Man Story (Showtime) and Who Killed the Electric Car? (Sony Pictures Classics) She is currently producing a film about Elon Musk for HBO with Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney.

Director Jessie Deeter shares, "Despite being a lifelong equestrian competitor, I have avoided making a film about horses until now. After a serious accident forced me to take a break from competing, I began to see the sport of Eventing in a larger context, recognizing its unique gender parity and the profound stories of resilience it holds."
A specialized North American theatrical release kicking off in New York City is set for this fall, with VIP screenings hosted by the director planned in Paris during the Olympic Games which start next Friday July 26th. The first day of the 2024 Eventing competition begins the following day, Saturday July 27th and concludes on Monday July 29th. Hoof Dreams is currently available on GATHR and is also slated to air on NBCUniversal's Peacock in the run up to the Olympics and later this year.
Abramorama CEO Karol Martesko-Fenster said, "Jessie's film highlights the incredible achievements of female athletes in Eventing and underscores the importance of gender equality in sports and is a real treat to experience on the large screen."
