Warning Signs from An Early Bird Drops late January 2018

An Early Bird's new single 'Warning Signs' has an almost naive, etheral beauty. Featuring vocals from Georgiana Craciun, it's the first introduction to Stefano De Stefano's debut album in his new incarnation as An Early Bird.

Stefano De Stefano is An Early Bird, a songwriter based in Italy. His career began ten years ago as front man of the Italian indie band Pipers, who released three records that brought the band to the attention of The NME, Rockol, Rai, XFM, Balcony TV, MTV and Virgin Radio.

Over the past ten years with the highly acclaimed Italian Indie band Pipers, Stefano has played across Europe, sharing the stage with some of Brit pop's biggest artists, such as The Charlatans, Ian Brown, James Walsh & Starsailor, Ocean Colour Scene and Turin Brakes.

Making his debut as An Early Bird in Milan last February supporting the Australian Folk Rock duo Sodastream, Stefano has gone on to support Clap Your Hands Say Yeah in Milan and Christopher Paul Stelling in Trieste as well as playing with Jack Savoretti, Joshua Radin and Rachel Sermanni during their Italian tours.

Stefano is currently working on his first solo album, a process which sees him drawing on his experience with Pipers. he explains “I consider ten years and three albums with Pipers a strong training ground: we had a brilliant time playing alongside some of the artists we’ve admired since our first introduction to music. I remember when I used to play music and work as postman at the same time: on Friday morning I was delivering letters and a few hours later I was flying to Northampton to perform before Turin Brakes!"

An Early Bird's debut single 'Warning Signs' is available from January 26th via Soundcloud.
