Youth Film Forum to Coincide with 43rd MIFF

"Short films are the heart of the film industry. It is the epicenter of innovation. The world industry is now actively experimenting with new formats in cinema, but in Russia today there is no platform for viewing such films. The goal of the VOSTOK agency is to contribute to the establishment of such a platform in Russia and to help Russian filmmakers working with new formats in cinema to declare themselves at the international level," said Yanna Buryak, founder of the VOSTOK agency.

COURANT3D is an international immersive and interactive film festival that combines technological innovation and artistic experimentation. The festival attracts the attention of major festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand and Interfilm Berlin, and is also supported by Unifrance, CNC and the New Aquitaine region. Courant3D hosts international short film contests in 3D, VR, AR, XR, VBeat, vertical and iA formats. Courant3D is also a film forum and educational platform for students and industry professionals.

Third Edition TV Series "Pilot" Festival Announced (ENG/RU)

The jury of the Courant3D festival consists of 9 people - these are the main representatives of the short film industry from different countries. This year, Yanna Buryak, the founder of the Russian film company Mimesis and co-founder of Russia's first distribution agency for the sale of short films VOSTOK, joined them and acquired the status of the Russian ambassador of the festival. The permanent jury also includes representatives from France, Germany, and China.

VOSTOK is the first distribution agency for Russian short films, created in February 2019 by producers Yanna Buryak and Nikolai Yaroshenko with the support of BKF Bank. The company announced itself at the Clermont-Ferrand film market of the same year, opening a Russian stand there for the first time and holding the first screening of Russian short films.

In May 2019, at the 60th film market in Cannes, with the support of the Russian Export Center, the agency was presented at the stand of the Made In Russia project at Marche du Film. Also, with the assistance of Roskino, VOSTOK held a press conference as part of its launch in the Russian pavilion of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival. The goal of the VOSTOK agency is the international promotion and sale of Russian short films.
