President Donald Trump spent his first full week as the 45th President alienating our nearest neighbors demanding the Mexican government pay for the proposed "Border Wall" that resulted in the Mexican President cancelling an upcoming White House visit.

According to Gallup, President Trump's job approval, over the past week, decreased to 42% of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as President increased to 51%.

Trump Marches Forward on Campaign Reforms; Faces Swift Backlash

President Trump moved ahead this week initiating his campaign promises under the facade of "Making America Great Again" with executive order policy, noted for its destruction, within 24 hours of taking the oath of office.  ObamaCare was, as he had stated throughout his campaign, first on his agenda.

Fast Tracks Executive Orders

The first of five Executive Orders signed by President Trump deals directly with ObamaCare.

The affordable care act, a benchmark and signature legislation for the Obama Presidency and survived more than 40 legal challenges with and a huge and monumental Supreme Court victory, with the concurring opinion in the 6-3 split written by Republican Conservative Chief Justice John Roberts who agreed contextually with the foundation of the bill that all deserved affordable health care and "the government can continue to subsidize healthcare insurance purchases by a lower income Americans across the country" thus perverting the foundation of the Affordable Care Act.

Repealing this significant piece of legislation was the cornerstone of President Trump's campaign. He has backed away, somewhat, from a full, wipe the slate clean, this bill is the source of all our ills opinion and written into the Executive Order he states, "It is the policy of my administration to seek the prompt repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111-148). In the meantime, pending such appeal, it is imperative or the executive branch to ensure that the law is being efficiently implemented take all actions consistent with the law to minimize the unwarranted economic and regulatory burdens of the act and prepare to afford states more flexibility and control to create a more free and open healthcare market."

In six additional sub section to the Executive Order President Trump calls for the Secretary of Health and other Federal government supervisory and executive departments and agencies to "exercise all authority" afforded them "waive, defer, grant, exemption from or delay the implementation" of the ACA that would cause undue burden or hardship.

Executive Order Two - Expediting Environmental Reviews and Approvals For High Priority Infrastructure Projects

President Trump outlined Executive Order Two with Four Sections: Purpose, which is stated below, Identification of High Priority Infrastructure Projects, Deadlines, and General Provisions.

"It is the policy of the executive branch to streamline and expedite, in a manner consistent with law, environmental reviews and approvals for all infrastructure projects, especially projects that are a high priority for the Nation, such as improving the U.S. electric grid and telecommunications systems and repairing and upgrading critical port facilities, airports, pipelines, bridges, and highways."

The centerpiece of this Executive Order sounds appealing to leadership of crumbling cities across the nation, where 100-year-old water main breaks are common with millions of gallons of water pouring into streets and ultimately wasted, and chucks of highways and roads falling apart through erosion and sinkholes. The issue for Americans, with the President's close relationship to Moscow, a matter of trust with the possibility especially when dealing with electrical grids for major quadrants to be linked to Russia.

Executive Order Three, Enhancing Public Safety in The Interior of The United States, and Executive Order Four, Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements, are each the most exhaustive, lengthy, and inflammatory of the President's first week of, in his opinion, righting the listing ship.

Enhancing Public Safety deals directly with illegal immigrants, a problem that plagued the Obama Administration also, which gained the most media attention when flare-up issues arose such as Border Babies or when multi deported illegals were arrested in connection to heinous crimes.

The Trump E.O. goes further in addressing what has long been deemed impossible by INS enforcement, targeting sanctuary cities, Los Angeles, New York City, surrounding boroughs, and Long Island, New Jersey, Minneapolis, Miami, Tucson, El Paso, and multiple cities in Texas, that have allowed enclaves, neighborhoods of illegal immigrants to live without proper documentation granting temporary stay privileges in the United States.

The president has deemed these "sanctuary cities" in violation of federal law. The issue is not simply the influx of immigrants from South American countries. In cities like New York, the influx of Chinese immigrants are essentially sold into slavery upon arrival to pay for the expense of transport.

"We cannot faithfully execute the immigration laws of the United States if we exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement.  The purpose of this order is to direct executive departments and agencies (agencies) to employ all lawful means to enforce the immigration laws of the United States," the President wrote in the Executive Order.

The priority to determine removal of aliens is dependent, largely, by behavior; criminal offenses resolved or not, engaged in fraud, falsifying documentation, fraudulent use of social security numbers; accepted, applied or participating in the receipt of public benefits.

The final determination unfortunately is subjective and left to the judgement of the immigration officer which leads to the potential for extortion or other leverage tactics imposed, by authority, on those who are in desperate situations.

With the focus of illegal immigrants on the towns along the Mexican/United States this Executive Order brought into the spotlight the proposed "Border Wall" another cornerstone campaign promise.

Trump has not ventured into the Chinese Illegal Immigration issue as many could claim political asylum an opportunity not afforded those from poverty ravaged nations South of the border.

Will day work passes be revoked or revisited under the new law? The issue also, with the removal of hardworking, generally honest, illegals, centers on the collapse of the infrastructure of illegal migrant Farm Worker and those who cross the border to participate in the harvest of crops shipped to local groceries for pennies on the dollar.

Immigration Ban First Challenge for Trump

President Trump's fourth executive order was met with harsh criticism and swift action including federal injection stopping the implementation of his "Muslim Ban" which called for the immediate removal and including all those in transit entering the United States to be return

The ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union, which works in courts, legislatures and communities defending individual rights, moved immediately to petition the validity and constitutionality of this Immigration or "Muslim Ban" as presented in his fourth executive order.

Submitting a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus and Complaint for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief to the honorable Ann Donnelly of the United States District Court Eastern District of New York.

WHEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the respondent, their officers, agent, servants, employees, attorneys and all members and persons acting in concert or participation with them from the date of this order are,

ENJOINED AND RESTRAINED, from in any manner or by any means, removing individuals with refugee applications approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as part of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, holders of valid immigrant and non-immigrant visas, and other individuals from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya Somalia, and Yemen legally authorized to enter the United States.

IT IS FURTHERED ORDERED that to assure compliance with the Court's order, the court direct service of this Order upon the United States Marshall for the Eastern District of New York and further directs the United States Marshall's Service to take those actions deemed necessary to enforce the provisions and prohibitions set forth in this order. Ann M. Donnelly, United States District Judge

Cody Wofsy, an ACLU attorney, issued the following statement, "The executive order runs contrary to really our most fundamental constitutional rights and human values in this country. These individuals, many of whom have green cards and have lived here for many years, can't just be put on a plane and shipped off."

UK Prime Minster Teresa May Visits White House

Britain Prime Minister Teresa May meet this week with President Trump conveying an invitation from her majesty The Queen, that was reported in the Beltway Insider, earlier, for the President and First lady to visit the United Kingdom later in the year. President Trump has accepted the gracious invitation.

The president kept his remarks brief. Madam Prime Minister May spoke clearly and at length on the discussion marking a transparency in the relationship.

The two leaders, both newly elected, spoke to the media reiterating continued partnership as the two nations have enjoyed a lengthy and permanent relationship and will continue to work together to strengthen ties in business, commerce, and foreign affairs.

A trade deal between the U.S. and UK is in the national interest of both countries and will cement the crucial, lengthy, and significant relationship that exist between the two nations.

The commitment to defeating ISIS/ISIL and Daesh, a breakout terror group, remains solid and paramount. NATO and its importance in aiding the fight to downgrade and ultimate destroy ISIS/ISIL and terrorism.

Stopping Daesh in cyberspace, Russian and Syria is a conversation for another day, both leaders agreed.

In addition to hosting the first state visit of his presidency, Trump held phone conferences with 11 foreign leaders including a fifty-minute phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and a lengthy phone call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Princess Diana

The late Princess Diana of Wales, who died August 31, 1997, will be memorialized by a commissioned statue, her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry have announced.

"It has been twenty years since our mother's death and the time is right to recognize her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue." The Princes said in a joint statement.

The artist for the statue, which will be in the public grounds of Kensington Palace, has been chosen although not named. The statue will be the fourth monument to Princess Diana, who has been forever given the endearing title of The People's Princess.

Princess Diana died in a horrific car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris, as she sped away from chasing paparazzi. The crash also killed her companion, Dodi Fayad, the heir of the famous Harrods Department Store in London, and driver Henri Paul. The only survivor, a body guard, Trevor Rees Jones.

The grief over the death of Princess Diana was noted throughout the world, as she maintained a commitment to the world's underprivileged, lost and forgotten, and was viewed by more than 32 Million in the United Kingdom alone. The mass global audience peaked at more than 2.5 Billion.

Mary Tyler Moore

Mary Tyler Moore, television and film veteran, died this week in a Connecticut hospital with her husband of thirty years, Dr. S. Robert Levine, by her side.

Who could turn the world on with her smile? Mary Tyler Moore, a name synonymous with Minneapolis, charmed audiences in the 1970's with her modern, triumphant, empowering performance as single, thirty-something, news room producer, Mary Richards, surrounded by a bullish News Manager, played by Ed Asner, and the dimwitted News Anchor, played by Ted Knight and also featured Betty White, Valeria Harper, Georgia Engel and Cloris Leachman.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show ran for seven seasons. It was Ms. Moore's second small screen role that brought her into the living rooms, charming and winning the hearts world over, the first, of course, as Laura Petrie, opposite Dick Van Dyke. One of the first sitcoms, running six seasons in Black & White from 1961 through 1966. Both roles earned her multiple Emmy's three for her performance as Mary Richards and two for Laura Petrie.

Ms. Moore and her second husband, Grant Tinker, produced what can be called the top ten and most memorable sitcoms of the 1970's and 1980's, including The Bob Newhart Show, Taxi, Hill Street Blues, Remington Steele, Cheers, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rhoda, Phyllis, and The Lou Grant Show.

Charming audience appeared easy for Ms. Moore who suffered repeated tragedies in her personal life. Her first two marriages ended in divorce, her only son died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot, suicide. Health issues plagued her throughout her life as she struggled with alcoholism and diabetes.

Her representative issued a statement to People magazine following her death: "Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine. A groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile."

Emmanuelle Riva

French actress Emmanuelle Riva, the second oldest actress to ever be nominated for an Academy Award, has died her publicist said. She was 89.

Her role in the shocking and award winning film, Amour, struck at cord in audiences from Cannes to Hollywood, marking a career comeback for the actress who have given up working some fifty years earlier.

At 85, when Amour was released in 2012, her performance, as a stroke victim, who deteriorates rapidly and the conditions, including healthcare choices and abuse by in home healthcare workers, so riveted audiences she won acting awards around the world.

Riva was the oldest female to ever be nominated for an Oscar in the Best Actress category. Amour won the Academy Award for Best Foreign language film, and she won the French Caesar Award, the equivalent of the Oscar.

No cause of death has been listed.

Mike Connors, who played tough guy Joe Mannix, in the long running series, Mannix, and Barbara Hale, Della Street the trusted assistant of Raymond Burr's Perry Mason, in the television series of the same name, also passed away this week.
