World News: Global Wars Pave Way for Chinese Advancement

As the new school year begins, there is no sign of favourable outcomes in Iran or Ukraine. The United States' foreign policy, more illegible than ever, contributes greatly and allows the Chinese rival to skillfully maneuver the ambient chaos.

Between the war in the Middle East and the war that has been tearing Ukraine apart for more than 4 and a half years now, there can be few reasons for hope at the dawn of the new school year.

World News: Heat Domes, Disease, and The Melting Permafrost

Global growth weighed down by the constantly rising price of energy, at best subject to fluctuations such that it has become almost impossible to predict in the short or medium term what the consequences of these procrastinations will be, not to mention climate change which has gone beyond the status of a crisis to become anchored in the long term to the point of becoming our daily life.

However, it is obvious that if the Middle East and Ukrainian conflicts were to find a favourable, rapid and acceptable outcome for all, many difficulties would be resolved. Because, objectively, Donald Trump's strategy in this region of the world has clearly become inaudible and incomprehensible. A simple question now arises: What are Donald Trump's ambitions regarding Iran and his support for Israel?

End of reign

The problem is all the more significant a few weeks before the mid-term elections which are shaping up to be a debacle, at the very least one of the most critical, for the Republicans who are on the verge of losing the majority in the House of Representatives.

From conjectures to hypotheses, the position of the President of the United States gives rise to the idea of the beginning of the end of his reign, overtaken as it is by the turn of events. However, too committed to the Iranian conflict to leave it as it stands to his successor, Republican or Democrat, Donald Trump also knows how to offer a credible perspective as to the outcome of the conflict; first, for the American nation, which is reluctant to wage war far from its bases when the current president advocated for an " America first ", and then for the one that will take place in two years without the Oval Office.

Between the desire to control the Strait of Hormuz, to tame the ferocity of Iran and to support Israel at all costs despite the setbacks of Benjamin Netanyahu bogged down in scandals that could seal his fate, no one knows to this day, in this foreign policy with aspects of the Hydra of the Erna, where Donald Trump wants to go.

World News: Peace Accord Signed, Zero Gains

Relaxation

The same is true of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, if Vladimir Putin does not seem ready for peace, also taking advantage of the stalemate of the conflict in the Middle East, there is nothing to suggest a détente in the near future, especially since Ukraine is increasingly combative and aggressive, unimpressed by Russian power.

The last actor is China, sibylline and discreet, abhorring chaos, which has declared itself ready to intervene, not in the US-Iranian conflict, but in the transit of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Strategic as usual, Beijing has long understood that the conflict as such would bring it nothing but that the Iranian oil it sorely needs was fundamental.

Chinese aid, which has the effect of lowering oil prices, also aims to allow the Middle Kingdom to have a resource at a more acceptable price and to present itself in its best light, in contrast to the United States, which is seen as aggressors, China as a form of peacemaker. And if a glimmer of hope were to emerge, it would perhaps be precisely on the side of the Far East that it would appear, but with the greatest of balances.
