World News: Middle East War A Millstone For Trump

Engaged in a more complex conflict than expected, the United States could question the relevance of its alliance with Israel. Without denouncing it, it appears that the weight of relations between the two nations tends to hinder Washington's short-term ambitions.

What if the United States abandoned Israel? The idea may seem absurd but, in view of the current circumstances, it is not without interest. There are several reasons why Washington could choose this solution.

Firstly, the conflict against Iran, which seems to be moving towards a form of diplomatic solution, is above all the result of the pressure exerted by Israel on the United States more than by the desire of the White House (even if the desire to depose the mullahs' regime has been present since 1979) to really start a war with Tehran. The second argument that could lend credence to this thesis is the soaring oil prices that threaten growth and the already fragile world economy of the Arab countries of the region with every sound of the boot in the Middle East.

Standardization

The repeated upheavals in the Middle East have finished off the patience of the United States, and even of the rest of the planet, confronted with the paranoia of Israel, convinced since 1948 that its Arab neighbors, despite the support of the United States and the normalization of its relations with many countries in the area, want its destruction.

Yet, to date, the only country that has officially declared that it wants Israel to disappear is Iran and its ally Hezbollah. Because the Lebanese question also enters the equation. Regularly bombed in its southern part, this Middle Eastern country has become Tel Aviv's whipping boy to the point of forcing it to negotiate peace on its own territory. The last point is the warmongering of Benjamin Netanyahu, which has become too cumbersome for the White House, which is therefore struggling to be heard in a region where its voice counts in particular with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

World News: The Iranian Stranglehold on Global Economies

Concerned about the future of Iran's oil resources and the future of the Strait of Hormuz, the White House now finds itself associated with a clearly embarrassing ally that will be difficult to erase with a stroke of the pen. However, a few days before the start of the Football World Cup (Canada, United States, Mexico), the 250th anniversary of American Independence (July 4, 1776) and especially the mid-term elections where the Democrats could win the majority in the House of Representatives, the President of the United States could officially or unofficially review his diplomatic priorities.

At a time when the United States is going to be in the spotlight of the entire planet, Donald Trump intends to give his country an image of a peaceful, pacifist and humanist nation, not that of a war-mongering nation, caught up in a distant Middle Eastern conflict that is already very unpopular. But from there to take the plunge...
