Roadside Attractions has acquired the North American rights to Alex Holmes' "The Last Rider," the astonishing story of Greg LeMond, the first, and only American to win the Tour de France, and considered one of the greatest cyclists ever.
He came back from the brink of death to beat his famed rivals in the historic and nail-biting 1989 Tour de France. The film will open exclusively in theatres June 23rd, 2023, it was announced by Roadside Attractions Vice President Acquisitions, Angel An.

Presented by MRC and produced by James Erskine (Pantani, Billie) Victoria Gregory (Maiden, Battle of The Sexes), and Sam Brayshaw (Maiden) for New Black Films, The Last Rider also features exclusive interviews with Spain's Pedro Delgado and France's Cyrille Guimard, as well as archival interviews of Lauren Fignon, one of France's greatest and most enigmatic cyclists.
The deal was negotiated by Roadside Attractions Vice President, Angel An, and MRC.
