Long Beach: Regulators, Mount Up - Long Beach Coast Unveils Alternate Identity

The Long Beach Coast didn't just unveil a logo; they dropped a statement. Before a crowd of season ticket members and team partners, the club revealed the Regulators, an alternate identity that plants a flag in Long Beach history.

In the 1990s, Long Beach became the epicenter of a cultural revolution. The G-Funk era didn't just produce chart-topping records; it reshaped how the world heard music, how a generation carried itself, and how one city announced itself to the globe. That era put Long Beach on the map in a way that has never faded. The Regulators identity is built on that foundation: a tribute to the unmistakable swagger that has always defined this city, and a declaration that the Long Beach Coast is here to carry it forward.

Warren G, Long Beach native and cultural icon: "Long Beach has always set its own tone and had its own swagger. This baseball team, the Coast, represents the heart of the city, but the Regulators legacy will always be part of Long Beach culture. It's respect for where we've been and excitement for where we're going. And now the next generation of kids growing up in the LBC gets to see that legacy celebrated right here at Blair Field. That means everything."

Alternate identities have become a creative tradition across Minor League Baseball, giving teams the canvas to tell the stories that define their communities. For the Long Beach Coast, a brand-new club preparing for its inaugural 2026 season in the Pioneer Baseball League, the choice was instinctive. There was only one era worthy of this kind of tribute.

Fans can expect to see the team take the field in Regulators uniforms every Friday night throughout the season, officially dubbed Regulators Night. When the gates open at historic Blair Field, it won't feel like a typical ballgame. The sounds of the G-Funk era will fill the stadium from the first pitch. The atmosphere will pulse with the energy and nostalgia of a movement that changed everything, specialty concessions, curated in-game entertainment, and a crowd that knows exactly what this night represents. Regulators Night is a cultural event with baseball at the center.

"Launching this franchise in Long Beach carries a responsibility to honor who this city is, not just build something new on top of it. Many of the people behind this club are part of this community, and that matters to us. The Coast is our foundation, our everyday identity, our home. The Regulators give us a chance to celebrate the history, pride, and character that already exist here. Long Beach deserves a team that shows up for it and reflects it. That's what we're building," said Ena Patel, President of The Coast..

The Regulators identity marks a landmark milestone as the Long Beach Coast counts down to its first-ever home game, a moment this city has been waiting for. This isn't just a baseball team opening a season. It's a Long Beach institution being born.

The home opener is set for June 2 at historic Blair Field. This is your city. This is your team. Come to the field.
