Further, the founder of the festival, Anton Kalinkin, made an important announcement - the web series festival in this format is being held for the last time: “Four years ago, when we conceived this festival, our mission was to introduce the web series format to the industry. And today we believe that this task has been completed. The festival has become part of the industry, and the concept of "web series" is now known to everyone. And I have to inform you that this year's web series festival is the last one... But next year there will be a new REALIST in Yaroslavl - a festival of audiovisual content with a running time of up to 24 minutes. We believe that it is pointless in the industry to come up with different names, to divide them, so we will accept all formats: screenlife, movie stories, web series, platform series, minute videos, etc. We want this festival to unite all producers, regardless of what their format is called. We are waiting for everyone next year in the big program of the new Realist.

Then Anton Kalinkin opened the festival, traditionally breaking a plate, on which the city leaders, organizers and the jury of the festival signed.

Traditionally, the first prize was awarded at the opening ceremony - the award "For the development and support of the production of short audiovisual content" was awarded to VK. The prize was given to Kirill Yemelyanov, creative director of the video production department. He thanked for the award, noting that VK is trying to actively support such formats and festivals.

The ceremony ended with a musical program - actresses Ekaterina Volkova, Sabina Akhmetova and Nino Ninidze performed soundtracks for popular TV shows.
