Russia National Academy of Cinematographic Arts & Sciences Announces Golden Eagle Nominees

Since 2002, the National Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Russia has been annually holding the Golden Eagle National Award Ceremony in the field of cinematography. Entries are considered from across all visual mediums.

The following were considered for the 2020 Prize: Russian films first publicly shown in Russia from November 1, 2019 to December 01, 2020 (as well as all films of the previous year that, for one reason or another, were not considered for the award at the end of 2019).

MIFF: The Opening Ceremony of the 42nd Moscow International Film Festival (Pics)

TV films and series, the first showing of which was completed in the period from September 1, 2019 to November 01, 2020; Foreign films released in Russia from November 1, 2019 to December 01, 2020.

At the end of the year, the Expert Council recommended for voting: 57 full-length feature films, 21 non-fiction films, 32 short films, 16 mini-series (up to 10 episodes inclusive) and 11 series (10 and more episodes) from the premieres of the 2018-2019 season, 37 animated films, and 23 foreign fiction films in Russian distribution.

The National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Russia sums up the results of the first round of voting and presents the nominees for the Golden Eagle Award for 2020.
