Something Beautiful Review – A Creative Masterpiece, Explosive, An Experience

Something Beautiful, from Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing, brings a unique big screen cinematic concert film experience to theaters worldwide showcasing the vast range of pop music icon Miley Cyrus as she debuts her new album.

Each of the 13 new songs, from the album of the same name are featured, and each begin with the strobe light effect introducing the song's title. Through each vignette, the audience is privy to her prep, wardrobe changes, make-up, and capturing the music video genre.

Row of Life Review – Debut Filmmaker Honors Champion Paralympian, Excellent

"In Every Girl You've Ever Loved," Cyrus is seen walking through the studio lot and through the soundstage, which is fun for viewers who are privileged with a rare glimpse of life behind the films. This moves right into "More to Lose," which features Miley in leathers, wind blown hair, and projecting her baby doll motorcycle ingénue.

"Walk of Fame" is another track from the album, and it features Cyrus walking down Hollywood Boulevard stopping, oddly on the star of Arnold Schwarzenegger, in a silver sparkling mini dress with a train.

Throughout the 55 minutes, we see Cyrus in a kaleidoscope of personas, aided by the costume changes she becomes a diva of the pop music world and gently moves herself past the teenage boy fantasy into life beyond a teen music queen.

The Ritual Review – Excellent Story Driven Performances, Heightened Suspense

"Something Beautiful is my dream project come true—fashion, film, and original music coexisting inharmony. My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right: from the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema's most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos serving as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality." – Miley Cyrus

The film is accompanied by the highly anticipated ninth studio album of the same name set for release on May 30th via Columbia Records. The album, featuring 13 original tracks, is executive produced by Miley Cyrus and Shawn Everett.

Something Beautiful is a one of a kind pop opera fueled by fantasy, featuring thirteen original new songs from the visual album Something Beautiful by Miley Cyrus. Exclusively mixed by Alan Meyerson for theatrical release.

Garland Jeffreys: The King of In Between Review – Excellent, A Must See

Something Beautiful showcases Miley Cyrus chameleon abilities as she continues to recreate herself. Creatively, Something Beautiful is a masterpiece, and both Cyrus and her team added elements that invite the audience into this world. And while it is clear that she is moving into a new era of music making, she keeps her hold on the teenage boy fantasy demographic with her shorter than short, short mini dresses, lots of nicely toned legs, and reveling costumes.

While she seemed comfortable in many of the scenes, there were moments when she appeared to be holding tension in her movements, which could have been part of the routine, but it seemed distracting, as the movements were not fluid.

Something Beautiful, an explosive experience, opens worldwide June 27, 2025. See it.

Despite an eight-year relationship that somehow managed to achieve monogamy for most of 2010, it appears that my hot and heavy affair with the Bravo Network might finally have run its course. A famous New Englander once said, “Nothing gold can stay,” and I guess deep down I always suspected that this would happen, but that doesn’t relieve the sting, or worse, the disillusionment.
