Charlie Tango, from Gravitas Ventures, brings to the screen an unusual and interesting story that begins with an air traffic controller, who is initially responsible for a mid-air collision, and ends up exposing an embezzler scam.

The film begins when Kim, played by Stacie Mistysyn, dressed in leathers is the singing act in a local bar. After the gig ends, she is on her way to work, and by this time we are thinking she's a nurse, as she explains to her husband, she is headed in for the night shift. We find out she is an air traffic controller, and tonight, a member of her team, is out sick.

Sight Review – A Heartwarming, Entertaining, and Inspiring Family Friendly Film

She is working on two screens, managing an unusually high traffic night and the building is experiencing system wide maintenance. As she tries to avoid a mid-air collision, the private plane drops off the radar. Unfortunately, there are fatalities.

Kim is suspended pending an investigation. Now we meet her husband, Jeff, played by Bruce Dinsmore, a cop. And her lover, Charlie, played by David La Haye. As she is out of work, and burdened with the stress of the investigation which may result in criminal charges. She has been withdrawn, not wanting to perform, or even leave the house.

She begins working for Charlie, in his real estate investment office, and soon realizes something is off. The addresses don't show up on any web search, and the money doesn't match the receipts. She believes that Charlie is operating a scam. She explains to her husband, and convinces him that Charlie, who specializes in lucrative real estate investments, is running a major embezzlement scam and, with Kim as the insider, they decide to turn the tables on him.

The Critic Review – An Entertaining Game of Deception Thriller

Jeff finds out she is having an affair with Charlie. What the two don't know is Charlie, for insurance he has secretly taped her as she, in amount of weakness agrees to a night of ecstasy fueled sex, only she is so out of it, she doesn't recognize the women, Tonya, played by Diana Lewis, she is with is the women who Charlie bankrolls. And it isn't a kept and quiet bankroll Tonya handles the delicate extortion and blackmail assignments.

Once Kim and Jeff are able to turn the tables, Charlie becomes desperate and hires Tonya to kill her. What follows is a race against time thriller, that infuses an unpredictable ending.

Wise Guy Review – Entertaining Behind The Scenes Look at The Sopranos, A Must See

Charlie Tango has moments of heightened suspense, and introduces surprising elements, that appear, random, and unconnected, until the end when all the hidden pieces come together. The ensemble worked well together, and while the emotional level could have been better in some scenes, others were delivered well. The lack of flexibility in the emotional level is a director issue.

However, as it is an accomplishment anytime a film is made, Charlie Tango and Director Simon Boisvert have done what many are never able to do, which is get the script off the ground and, more importantly, have the film made and distributed. Kudos to you. Charlie Tango is available online. See it.
