The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards are just around the corner. The ceremony will be hosted by Andy Samberg on Sept. 20 and broadcasted live from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Some of this year’s top shows include “Game of Thrones,” “Mad Men” and “Orange is the New Black”—but as a TV buff, you already knew that.

Television’s top stars—and the host of talented professionals behind each show—have gathered for this annual event since 1949. The Emmys have certainly evolved over the years, but the show never disappoints in terms of star power and glamour.

In the meantime, celebrity data site PrettyFamous compiled a list of the celebrities who have amassed the largest Primetime Emmy collections. As we get close to the big night, let's run down the most celebrated talent in television history.

#35. David Angell

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 8

The late “Frasier” creator and writer was honored multiple times for his work on the sitcom. Additionally, he won for his work on hit show “Cheers.”

#34. Bill Philbin

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 8

Bill Philbin, a renowned cameraman, has been honored for several different projects, including “The 66th Annual Academy Awards,” “ER” and “Janet: The Velvet Rope.”

#33. Les Charles

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 8

Best known as the co-creator of “Cheers,” Les Charles wrote and produced the show, as well. He has been recognized for "Cheers" and the show “Taxi.”

#32. Ron Volk

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 8

The “Frasier” television picture editor, Ron Volk won the Emmy for Outstanding Multi Camera Picture Editing for a Series eight times during the show’s 11-season run.

#31. Stephen Colbert

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

Stephen Colbert just started a new gig as the host of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” but he’s been honored thus far for his writing on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “The Colbert Report.”

#30. Matthew Weiner

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

Best known as the creator of “Mad Men,” Matthew Weiner has been recognized for his writing and directing on both the AMC award-winning series and “The Sopranos.”

#29. Gregory Hoblit

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

The television and film director has been recognized for his work on several different projects, including “NYPD Blue,” “L.A. Law” and “Hill Street Blues.”

#28. Dwight Hemion

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

The late director and producer was known as “the dean of televised concert and variety specials,” and received honors for many projects. These included “Barbara Streisand the Concert,” “Here’s Television Entertainment” and “Bette Midler—Ol’ Red Hair is Back.”

#27. Eric Drysdale

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

Eric Drysdale has been recognized for his work writing for “The Colbert Report” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

#26. David Lee

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

David Lee co-created, wrote, produced and directed “Wings” and “Frasier,” and has been honored with Emmys for his work on many projects, including the latter show and “Cheers.”

#25. Jerry Bruckheimer

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

Each of the film and television producer’s Emmys are a result of his work on “The Amazing Race.”

#24. Ed Weinberger

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 9

Best known as the co-creator of “The Cosby Show” and “Taxi,” Ed Weinberger's writing- and production-earned Emmy collection includes wins for both of those hits and “The Mary Tyler Moor Show.”

The producer, director, writer and founder of the American Film Institute has been recognized for his work on various projects, including “The Kennedy Center Honors.”

The late writer and producer took home wins for his work on “The Tracey Ullman Show” and “The Simpsons,” which he co-created.

Primetime Emmy Total: 10

Along with her husband Bertram Van Munster, Elise Doganieri is the co-creater and executive producer of “The Amazing Race,” which has led her to eight wins in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category.

Primetime Emmy Total: 10

The writer and producer has won Emmys for “Hill Street Blues,” “L.A. Law” and “NYPD Blue,” all of which he created.

Primetime Emmy Total: 10

The esteemed writer and producer has won Emmys for his work on “L.A. Law,” “Picket Fences,” “The Practice” and “Ally McBeal.”

The late conductor, arranger and composer was recognized for his work on many different projects, including “The 52nd Presidential Inaugural Gala,” “Julie Andrews in Concert Great Performances” and “Christmas in Washington.”

The producer and writer has been recognized for his work on “Modern Family” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

Matt Groening has been recognized for his work on “The Simpsons” and “Futurama,” both of which he created.

The “American Masters” creator and executive producer, Susan Lacy has been honored multiple times for her work on the show and other PBS projects.

Don Mischer Productions will produce the Emmys for the 13th time in 2015.

The freelance camera operator has won Emmys for a number of different projects, including “Dancing with the Stars,” “50th Annual Grammy Awards” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

Primetime Emmy Total: 17

The skilled camera operator has been honored for his work on several different projects, including “Dancing with the Stars,” “Fail Safe” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

#4. Hector Ramirez

 

Primetime Emmy Total: 17

The camera operator currently holds the record for most Emmy nominations, with a total of 74 nods . Some of his wins include honors for his work on “Dancing with the Stars,” “American Idol” and “Cher–The Farewell Tour.”

Jon Stewart has brought home Primetime Emmy wins for both his work on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report."
