Kino Lorber has acquired all North American rights to Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani's latest film LET THE CORPSES TAN (Laissez bronzer les cadavres), following its critically acclaimed North American premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (Midnight Madness).

The film stars acclaimed Romanian-American actress Elina Löwensohn (Schindler's List, A Very Long Engagement), Stéphane Ferrara (Alexander) and Hervé Sogne (SK1, JCVD) and was photographed in cinemascope by Manuel Dacosse (Amer, Evolution, Axolotl Overkill), the directors' longtime director of photography.

This eagerly anticipated follow up to Amer (2009) and The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears (2013) had its world premiere at the 2018 Locarno International Film Festival and a U.S. premiere at Fantastic Fest, in Austin, TX, where it was one of the festival's most talked-about and well-reviewed films.

"The technique is impeccable… [A] lavish homage to vintage exploitation genre tropes by Belgian duo Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani."
- Dennis Harvey, Variety

LET THE CORPSES TAN will play at other upcoming fall and winter festivals before a summer 2018 theatrical release – followed by a fall SVOD, VOD and physical media launch. The deal was negotiated between Kino Lorber CEO Richard Lorber and Gilles Sousa, Head of Sales at BAC Films.
"Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani have made a stunning film that's both a thrilling ride and a beautifully crafted homage to the spaghetti western and classic Italian giallo," said Kino Lorber CEO Richard Lorber. "It defines our company's mantra: experience cinema. We can't wait to take this release trip with such boldly brilliant filmmakers."

"Visually stunning, expertly edited with multiple timelines and featuring killer sound design, LET THE CORPSES TAN is perhaps the most cinematic of all experiences at this year's [Fantastic Fest]. Full of clever touches, excess gun violence and the most vibrant palette this side of Technicolor, this blood-soaked daytime nightmare is something that once experienced will never be forgotten.
