Several Travel Pieces To Discover In Preview

Louis Vuitton - TALL TRUNK

An iconic design from Louis Vuitton, this sturdy trunk is for transporting long dresses. Made of poplar and covered in canvas featuring a stencilled monogram and with its leather trim, this 1960’s design is still being made today, with 250 copies being produced a year, explains Jérôme Lalande.

This case still has its former owner’s initials on it as well as their luggage labels. At the time, hotel staff secretly decided where these labels would be stuck dependent on the tip the customer left!

Goyard - WOMEN’S MAIL TRUNK

A legendary model that is the ideal size to stand at the bedside, or to use at the end of the bed as a low table, the inside of this charming suitcase’s lid is quilted so that photos or postcards can be attached.

Dating back to the 1930’s, this rare suitcase covered in herringbone cloth which is Goyard’s signature, comes with its original strap and pair of keys, which makes it a real collection piece, Jérôme Lalande points out.

When it is unscrewed, the thermos cap transforms into an elegant metal tumbler. It is the ideal size for slipping into a Hermès bag of 30cm and up, adds Jérôme Lalande.
