TWA Flight 800 Review – Exposing The Shocking FBI Cover-Up

“TWA Flight 800,” an investigative documentary into the July 17, 1996 explosion of the Paris bound 747, presents concrete evidence that destroys the government’s pre-packaged findings and neatly presented conclusion.

An EPIX original documentary,“TWA Flight 800” is written, directed, and produced by Emmy Award-winning journalist Kristina Borjesson and co-produced by Dr. Tom Stalcup who holds a PhD in Physics.

“TWA Flight 800,” refutes through eye witness account, physical evidence, expert testimony and the recognized authority, the National Transportation Safety Board, every purported piece of evidence that allegedly proves the events of that tragic July evening were the result of faulty wiring.

The documentary features interviews with key members of the original Flight 800, Investigation team, including Senior Accident Investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board (Ret.), Hank Hughes (Ret.), Chief Accident Investigator for TWA (Ret.), Bob Young, and Air Line Pilot Association Representative/Investigator James Speer.

The documentary begins with voice over of Air Traffic Control and eye witnesses explaining what they saw in the dusk sky across long island sound.  The force behind the documentary, Tom Stalcup, is walking into the Calverton, Long Island hanger where the reconstructed TWA jet has been stored.

The ill-fated Trans World jet bound for Paris exploded just 12 minutes after takeoff from JFK International Airport, killing all 230 people onboard.

“TWA Flight 800,” is no ordinary documentary. The standard authority in air transportation disasters, The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) was given no authority from the beginning over the investigation.

James Kallstrom, the former Special Agent in Charge of the New York FBI office, can’t shoulder the burden himself. As the FBI would only retain control over the investigation should it be criminal, which was the common and accepted theory for some time, Kallstrom never relinquished the authority of the investigation and many, and many more will, believe he was simply covering for his government and the accidental launch of Proximity Fuse Missiles.

The documentary explained through the NTSB agents assigned to the investigation the FBI would authorize information, edited tapes, and the most egregious lie, created an animated CIA tape that addresses the belief that a missile brought down the aircraft.

After interviewing the witnesses the CIA had the information they needed to refute the missile theory and built a video accordingly. The tape was considered fraud, waste and abuse, a flagrant lie and the 755 eyewitness both on land and in air, were stunned and outraged over the false findings presented.

“TWA FLIGHT 800” is not to be missed.  For those who have lived through other moments in history from The Pentagon Papers to Watergate the flagrant attempts to present and label the eyewitness accounts as “mass misperception” is beyond comprehension. We are used to government corruption, cover-up and scandal in modern America.  Always stunned by those who violated our trust and yet we can handle it. Don’t humiliate the victims and their families with comical and shameful reenactments.

Throughout the documentary the “black box” was never mentioned. No final messages, or confirmation from captain, no distress signal indicating or confirming he witnessed the same three objects rising from the Long Island Sound and shoreline that 755 others witnessed.

The last messages recorded as the 747 settled into the eight hour flight were leveling off after take-off from New York’s JFK airport.

What I found most distressing is the negation of the lives through the flagrant transparent lie. Tell the families something, anything but make it believable. Create a theory that withstands the tests of the wounded, of the examinations by the survivors, of those who spend the days wondering, wishing and hoping.

The documentary is gripping from the beginning. Although the public should not be surprised over the cover up, I found it stunning the extent, the lengths, the FBI would travel in order to maintain an “agenda driven investigation.”

Negating the lives and the deaths by not allowing justice for those aboard TWA Flight 800 will not kill the memory or the evidence. The continued effort of the government to squash the intelligence of the people, the factual evidence and force feed propaganda must stop.

Lying and denying people justice is an insult and only fuels the masses into action and revolt. And we the people are given the right to petition our government for change. So admit it, prosecute and move on.

“TWA Flight 800” is beyond powerful! Gripping, stunning and shocking! If you watch nothing else this year see this!

“TWA Flight 800” premieres on Wednesday, July 17, 8:00PM. Check your local listings. You will never see your government through the same eyes.
