Flatrock Motorclub’s ‘Club’ Track Officially Open

Flatrock Motorclub officially opened its highly anticipated 3.5-mile, 23-turn 'Club' circuit to members, marking a major milestone. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the starting grid, and the first official laps on the newly completed track.

Flatrock Motorsports Park's Developer & Founding Partner, Rusty Bittle, was the first to drive the track, followed by the attending founding members. The event celebrated the culmination of over 20 months of construction and planning, bringing to life a world-class circuit that promises an exhilarating driving experience.

Construction on the venue in Cumberland County, Tennessee, began in October 2022, with meticulous work carried out to ensure the track met the highest standards. The Transtec Group, specialists in pavement engineering, oversaw the technical paving and grading process, using locally sourced materials from Tennessee to create a durable, high-performance surface with three layers of asphalt.

A Thrilling Driving Experience
Flatrock's 'Club' circuit features 127 feet of elevation changes, offering a thrilling challenge to drivers. Simulations of a GT3 car on the 23-turn circuit show an average speed of 101 mph—surpassing the typical speeds seen on international circuits, which range from 90 to 95 mph.

Today's event allowed members to finally take to the track and experience its unique design, setting the stage for future driving experiences at Flatrock Motorclub.

Looking Ahead: Exciting Future Plans
Although the track is now officially open, additional developments at Flatrock are already in motion. The Flatrock Karting Track and the Members' Clubhouse are slated to open in 2025, adding even more amenities for club members. Future phases will include a 2.7-mile F.I.M and FIA Grade II certified Grand Prix track, as well as a premium hotel, destination restaurant, campgrounds, brewery, winery, and a natural amphitheater for hosting concerts and events.
