Wall Street Limps to a Bullish Finish

Wall Street investors limped to a bullish end of 2013 closing the year as the Dow hitting its 52nd record close, gaining over 72.37 points, the S&P 500 ending high and the Nasdeq gaining respectfully.

With the markets closed for New Year Day and limited trading throughout the week, investors are looking forward to continued gains and a stronger 2014 market as economists project steady growth, lower unemployment and solid GDP stability.

Washington’s fiscal mess and maneuverings play heavily in the stock market. With both partiers more willing to reach across the aisle Wall Street stocks have responded in kind.

Stocks have been bullish from 2009 with limited dips throughout 2013 and had not experienced a decline of more than 5% all year.

Wall Street analysts believe that stocks can move even higher in 2014. High performers for 2013 included NetFlix,  Micron Technology, BestBuy and Delta.
