Business News: All Hail The King of Beers; Billion Dollar Deal Cements Anheuser Busch Brands as Number 1

Anheuser-Busch, home of the world famous Clydesdales and the number one choice for alcoholic beverage around the world, just solidified its global dominance with a billion dollar deal that marries, the once notorious rivals, Anheuser-Busch and Miller Brewing.

Miller Brewing will now become a member of the Anheuser-Busch beverage family. The merger, worth $105billion, will create a massive brand dominance, with SABMiller PLC and will account for one-third of the world’s beer.

In a move necessary to meet U.S. regulatory laws, SABMiller will sell its 58% stake in MillerCoors LLC to its partner, Molson Coors Brewing, for $12 billion, and in doing so make Molson the second largest brewing company in the U.S.

The following show an interactive map of beer consumption habits around the world, AB InBev's intraday stock price, and a profile of Molson.
