Election 2020: Sharron Angle, Election Integrity Specialist, Speaks on Violence and Voter Fear (Q&A)

With the 2020 Election Campaign heating up both parties are facing the unexpected surge in violence across American cities which is causing many to rethink in-person voting for fear that polling sites will become targets for extremists.

As the RNC Republican Convention presented a clear platform of law and order, the Democratic Party appears to embrace the violence and is either unable or unwilling to  stand up to protesters who have cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars from damage, including closed businesses and the drop of  business in risky areas.

While citizens are fleeing the chaos, where is Democratic Presidential nominee Joseph Biden? Some say he’s ‘hiding in his basement,’ allowing violent protesters to do his ‘campaigning’ for him, potentially scaring off conservative voters who might hesitate to drive their Suburban with its Trump bumper sticker to the polls.

Business owner and citizens across the country are seeing cities and states run by Democrats turning into lawless nightmares with no end in sight. The more the police are hamstrung by their leaders the more brazen the protesters seem to become, with many middle-class young people, bored from the lockdown, joining in for laughs and free stuff.

So, the question is: Will we see free and fair elections in November? Helping us answer this question is Sharron Angle, of the Election Integrity Project Nevada.

Q: We watched the Republican Convention with calls for law and order and the Democrat Convention ignore the lawlessness in our city streets. Clearly each side sees some benefit from the stand they have taken but how do the voters decide?

A: I watched both conventions and the rule of law seems to hang in the balance with this election. For years we have been dealing with a passive-aggressive bureaucracy when it comes to election law.  Legislatures pass more and more laws that undermine the security of elections and then those in charge of elections don’t enforce even those laws. It looks like we are now seeing this disregard for the enforcement of laws take shape on our city streets. If we want the rule of law to stand, we as voters must insist first that elections are fair and honest. Elections have consequences and are the way we hold our government accountable to enforce the law.

Q: America was founded on the rule of law. With the rioting in our cities, lawlessness has become acceptable. What impact do you think that will have on the 2020 election?

A: Sadly, lawlessness has been seen as an advantage politically, but it may actually backfire for those who are allowing it to ravage communities. People are already shy about voting because of COVID-19 and their reticence will be heightened because of the safety issue just being on the street in these cities presents. This will be used as just one more argument for a universal mail-in ballot which is fraught with security issues for a fair and honest election.

Q: During the last Presidential election, many voters were intimidated when they went to their local polling places. Is this sure to happen again?

A: Thugs have taken over parts of Seattle creating their own little country, they aren’t interested in the rights of others.  Multiply that in cities across the country beset with violence and you have a perfect recipe for voter intimidation and fraud.

Q: The post office controversy continues to boil over, can we trust the post office with the national election results?

A: Testimony and surveys continue to show that Americans don’t trust the Post Office to even deliver mail, that’s why we have tracking.  Universal mail-in ballots don’t even have the normal safeguards of date stamps. They are mailed out bulk rate and we’ve found ballots even in the 2020 primary in many states, stuffed in mail boxes and on city streets. The existence of un-deliverable, unclaimed, and un-voted ballots by the thousands is a wide-open door to fraud.

Q: Joseph Biden has not been out in the public for months, Trump on the other hand has a lawsuit in your state and $20 million dedicated to fighting for fair and honest elections. What does that say about their concern for American voters?

A: A lot! We invite Joe Biden as we have invited President Trump to have an Election Integrity summit.  They need to know what we know in the states about how elections are stolen each year and that neither side wins when they stay in the basement and deny there is a problem. Perhaps even more telling is that fact that Joe Biden picked a notable opponent to voter ID one way to curb election fraud as a running mate.
