State of The Union

President Joseph Biden will present his annual State of the Union Address, February 7, 2023 at 9:00pm EST, heralding the accomplishments of his first two years in office, championing the middle class, ensuring that all Americans are given equal opportunity, and address recent disturbing events both domestically and internationally.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders will give the Republican response.

Chinese Surveillance Balloons

President Biden ordered the Chinese surveillance airship, initially detected February 1, 2023, over Montana which is home to one of America's three nuclear missile silo fields, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, to be shot down as it approached the South Carolina coastline, nearly four days after it was spotted near

"Biden had authorized the takedown on Wednesday, instructing the Pentagon to act "as soon as the mission could be accomplished without undue risk to American lives under the balloon's path," Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement confirming the operation. The president, in brief remarks to reporters, said: "They successfully took it down. And I want to compliment our aviators who did it," reported The Washington Post.

The high-altitude unmanned airship has a technology bay the size of three city buses is equipped with solar power generators, high resolution cameras, and state of the art surveillance equipment. It is not the only Chinese device spotted in the Americas, as a secondary balloon has been detected over the South America, over Columbia and Venezuela, and at this time no military action has been taken to down the surveillance airship.

World News: Beijing, from East to West

China responded stating the balloon was used to gather weather related information and was blown off course. This statement indicates that the surveillance equipment within the balloon could transmit the information gathered to a Chinese agency as the balloon did not have a return to base feature.

Essentially, the failure of the Pentagon to shoot the balloon down upon detection resulted in the Chinese government receiving images from every major city within the balloon path.

"In a statement on Sunday morning local time, China's Foreign Ministry reiterated claims that the airship was a civilian vessel that had unexpectedly drifted off course, adding that "the Chinese side has clearly asked the U.S. side to properly handle the matter in a calm, professional and restrained manner," reported The Washington Post.

Blinken's Visit Postponed

Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was scheduled for a high-level meeting with his Chinese diplomat Wang-Yi, in the PCR, by the order of the President has postponed his trip. Each of the respective government made public announcements in an attempt to convey the sentiments of each. Blinken stated the Chinese government was irresponsible and the Wang Yi replied "China has always followed strict international law."

Not the First Time

The recent breech is not the first time the U.S. airspace has been violated by Chinese surveillance attempts. During the Trump administration at least three similar Chinese balloon surveillance were detected violating international law and accessing U.S. airspace.

"The "PRC (People's Republic of China) government surveillance balloons transited the continental United States briefly at least three times during the prior administration and once that we know of at the beginning of this administration, but never for this duration of time," the defense official said," CNN reported.

The greatest threat to the United States is the Chinese government, especially under the leadership of Chinese President Xi-Jinping, who believes in a global supremacy of his nation. While he acknowledges as does the United States, that both nations unfortunately depend to heavily on import/export of goods that a total ban would not achieve the desired goal.

Former Trump National Security Director John Ratcliffe, wrote in a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed piece on December 3, 2020, "The intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the U.S. and the rest of the planet economically, militarily, and technologically.

Gathering surveillance on the American people is not new with the recent revelation of a Chinese surveillance balloon flying high above Montana and gathering images of the topography and military installations across the United States, Xi-Jinping has been known to conduct human testing on members of the People's Liberation Army, "in hopes of developing soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities."

It is also important for America industries to understand there are no ethical boundaries to Beijing's pursuit of power and global domination. While the United States may be focused on the expected areas, China is like a trojan horse, within accepted industries China will send plants, individuals, to facilitate its "rob, replicate, and replace" economic strategy where any humans or inserted into an organization are used to steal the intellectual property, replicate it, and then replace it within the global economy.

China's strategy to economic espionage has been termed "rob, replicate and replace." China robs U.S. companies of their intellectual property, replicates the technology, and then replaces the U.S. firms in the global marketplace," The Wall Street Journal reported.

The next-gen option is to utilize devices can be implanted into the human body permanently, the material, substances used are often manufactured and imported from China, which gather intelligence. Utilizing a system in which through dental filling material, surveillance technology can be implanted into a person, unbeknownst to them, allows the Chinese government unlimited access to the American population, unfiltered boots on the ground, man on the street access.

China's Determination to Dominate

China's determination isn't only the big four: Intellectual property, defense, technology, and burgeoning industries within these sectors. More importantly China must control its people and did so with the gamification of its society.

Using the concept of social media, the Chinese built a social credit system into the population which includes mass surveillance of the people. This system reduces civilian uprisings and criminal activity as it pits citizen against citizen and by software these citizens report to the government violations by their fellow citizens which result in rewards, easier loan processing, easier travel visa a smoother processing of in a system of clogged with bureaucracy.

"One well-known punishment is blacklisting people from high-speed trains, planes, or other things considered luxuries. There are 13 million people on one credit blacklist maintained by China's courts," techinaisa.com reports.

The ecosystem of terror is also of concern as China continues its trajectory of domination.

January Job Numbers Skyrocket

On the eve of President Biden State of the Union Address, the Bureau of Labor Statistics provided him an added boost, with the announcement of the January job reports which added nearly double, adding 517,000 jobs to the economy with unemployment at 3.4% the lowest it has been in 50 years.

McCarthyism strikes Congress

Newly elected Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, (R-CA) has continued his vengeance against house democrats who led the impeachment efforts of former President Donald Trump with the removal of Rep. Adam Schiff, (D-CA), as the Chair of the Intelligence Committee, and Rep. Eric Sewell, (D-CA), who also served on the Intelligence Committee, as well as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the Foreign Affairs Committee over statements made regarding Israel which were interpreted as antisemitic.

"Speaker Kevin McCarthy reiterated Tuesday that he will block Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell of California from serving on the House committee that oversees national intelligence, saying the decision was not based on political payback but because "integrity matters, and they have failed in that place," reported The Associated Press.

The removal of Omar, a Somali born American citizen, which resulted in several fiery speeches from fellow female of color representatives as a clear attempt to remove women of color from any high-level committee positions. Omar, who also served in the House during former president Trump's administration was subject to bitter, targeted, slanderous, anti-American hate rhetoric by the former president and while the verbiage is absent the actions are the same under the new house leadership.

Rep. Schiff announced his intent to run for U.S. Senate, if California Senator Dianne Feinstein, 89, retires after her current term ends, in 2025. Former speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi has announced her intent to support Schiff, if Feinstein, who is the longest serving female senator in history, decides to retire.

Tyre Nichols Funeral

The funeral for Tyre Nichols was this week, and in what seems like a never ending cycle of targeted black violence, leaders of the black community include Vice-President Kamala Harris, the Reverend Al Sharpton, and other leaders of the local Memphis community.

"This violent act was not in pursuit of public safety," said Harris. "It was not in the interest of keeping the public safe, because, one must ask: Was not it in the interest of keeping the public safe that Tyre Nichols would be with us today?," Democracynow.org reported.

Fallout Continues

A sixth Memphis Officer has been terminated in the wake of the lethal beating of Tyre Nichols, whom died three days after the January 7, 2023 unwarranted traffic stop, that resulted in the 29 year-old father fearing for his life and subsequently fleeing in handcuffs as he sought shelter and safety in his near by home. He was captured and in two separate videos is seen being brutally kicked and punched by the five black officers.
