Rubio Makes it Official; Announces 2016 Presidential Campaign

Marco Antonio Rubio, Florida's Junior Senator, has made it official, announcing to donors this is morning in a conference call his intent to seek the Republican nomination for the President of the United States.

Rubio, the GOP’s rising star, has a unique story for struggling Americans. His “I’ve been there” message is fact. A first generation Hispanic American whose parent emigrated from Cuba, Rubio worked to put himself through college and law school.

Well received at the 2012 Republican National Convention, Rubio, the Junior Senator, mixes humor with a strong message of commitment to lead a nation back from the brink to a revival of global strength, respect and dominance.

The dream of a better life became the driving force behind his parent’s decision to leave their home, and his own commitment to believe in a better American beginning with dedication to public service.

Elected to the House of Representatives in 2000, Rubio has continue to serve the people of Florida. Elected Speaker six years later he quickly rose to national platform visibility. Serving as Senator since 2011, Rubio was one of a handful of young candidates shortlisted as Mitt Romney’s choices for the 2012 Republican Vice-Presidential nomination.

If elected Rubio, will be the youngest president and the first Hispanic-American ever elected.

Married to Jeanette Dousdebes, a former Miami Dolphins Cheerleader, Rubio and his wife have four children.

With more Americans voting independently Rubio is faced with the same challenges as every candidate. Americans are a tough sell this election, the field is already a mix of strengths, genders and challenges. Americans want proof any candidate is worth their vote. Why should we invest in you? Gender? Past history? Party? Ethnicity?
