Beltway Insider: Obama Risks Population on Foreign Policy; Ebola, ISIS Gamble; Malala Shares Nobel

President Obama has moved swiftly to combat the spread of the Ebola virus meeting with homeland and national security advisors and presented a unified belief that the American medical infrastructure is strong and capable of handling the possible onslaught.

According to Gallup, President Obama's job approval, over the past week, stayed constant at 42% of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as President also increased one percentage point to 54%.

Obama's Risky Foreign Policy Gamble

President Obama, throughout his presidency has faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles including the single greatest economic recession since the great depression and has doggedly built a lasting legacy of economic reform that brought it back from the brink.

His popularity, a numbers game depending on the poll, remained consistent matching his constituency, throughout his almost six years in office.

Domestic Protection

The most recent economic report finally brought unemployment, overall, to its lowest numbers in 55months. The economic agenda has continued to gain ground with unemployment numbers steadily falling and more Americans back at work, and all areas of the President's domestic agenda seemingly moving forward and genuinely propelling Americans back to some level of mental security.

Before this week, all indicators, including the stock market which has hit an all time high with analysts predicting other milestones before the end of year 2014; the Gross Domestic Product, always considered the best indicator of a country's economy, increased to 4.6% in Q2, almost erasing fears of a continued recession or stall in growth.

Domestically all indicators were on the rise with the President enjoying the accolades of the diligent hard work and in turn praising the resilience of the American people who, on the front lines and in the trenches, endured and created innovative opportunities for turning the worst economic nightmare into a future. Not all losses recovered but hope has returned, limitedly.

It was then that ISIS/ISIL, an unknown terrorist organization, loyal to Osam bin Laden, with an even deeper determination to demonstrate its power began taking town, villages and driving innocent villagers, women, and children into the mountains in mortal fear.

The ISIS/ISIL army, an organized trained and funded military, moved to Erbil, a capital city of three million.  At this point President Obama addressed the American people with his humanitarian plan.

The ISIS/ISIL Risk

Before this recent week, the only criticisms were Obama's ineffectiveness in dealing with the terror organization, ISIS/ISIL.

The President took a risky gamble believing the American people would tolerate impotence in foreign policy especially when Americans were being violently and publically murdered.

Obama, in all probability, could have received an across the aisle unlimited financial approval as every member of both the Senate and House of Representatives, saw the need to dismantle ISIS/ISIL.

The world, a league of nations, understood the necessity in dismantling the terror group as a global coalition was formed with as many as 50 nations pledging support of the  plan which included providing additional military funding to Syrian's opposition army.

Gross Miscalculations

The gross miscalculations in implementation of the president foreign policy came as Jihad John, an identified British citizen, maintained an execution schedule.

President Obama expressed deep concern and apparently heartfelt condolences to each of the four families who suffered such an egregious loss.

The revelation that ISIS/ISIL is funded by Syria brought the President's Syrian agenda, that of dismantling Basher Al-Assad, back to center stage. No person denies Assad is a dictatorial tyrant who should be removed from his present position as leader of Syria.

With Arab Spring, the democratic uprising which traveled across the Middle East in December 2010 to June of 2012, as an instigator, and unprecedented movement eventually resulted in the resignation of leaders in 21 countries, uprisings and civil wars.

Syria has since been engaged in a civil war with members of the opposition party receiving both humanitarian assistance and militaristic support. The war has forced millions to flee and caused the five surrounding countries into cities of refuge.

The president has addressed congress receiving allocation to arm the Syrian Opposition. Assad succeeded his father, who held the position since 1970, as President, after his brother died in a car crash. The cost to depose Assad, for the American people until his rise of ISIL/ISIS has been nominal, simply governmental funding.

Syria and ISIS/ISIL

With the rise of ISIL, which Assad has funded and trained, the cost has become the murder of American citizens, an execution schedule that has remained extremely public without thought or concern.

No nation, no people doubt the need to overthrow the Assad regime and install a working interim democratic government, that from all released White House press statements, have been in place for more than one year.

The issue becomes the President's use of Americans citizens as pawns to ignite the flame of retaliation and to further his personal agenda and legacy.

Obama's desire to leave the world economically, politically better and set on a different democratic path is noble and has overshadowed the need for swift permanent and effective understanding of the cost of harming one American.

Jihad John, a pawn himself, has become the face of a sinister organization that operates and executes at will, randomly without any interruption of a carefully calculated scheduled.

President Obama's risky gamble in allowing ISIS/ISIL to continue the public executions of American citizens increased the scrutiny on his personal foreign policy agenda overshadowing his loyalty and single pursuit spoken during the oath of office to "faithfully execute the Office of the President of the united States and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

West/East Africa Agenda

During the June 2013 G8 Summit, the annual gathering for the leading industrialized nations, the world agreed Africa was an emerging nation and President Obama led the chrge in pledging more than 7Billion to Power Africa, including overhauling of the infrastructure, trade and energy sectors.

President Obama and private sector partners additionally agreed to invest over 15billion dollars in a four nation African partnership.

The White House, during the same visit announced the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the spread of the diseases as well as safe sex practices would be at the top of the President's agenda.

While every nation in Africa is not affected by Ebola, the potential for the spread to every nation, including those heavily invested nations, remained of deep concern.

After forty years of Ebola, with periodic and isolated outbreaks, West African nations could not end the plague without assistance from the United States.

As the deeply infectious and deadly virus had never been diagnosed in a patient within the borders of the United States the Center for Diseases Control did not place a priority on research, funding and cure.

The idea that a president would sacrifice the few for the larger agenda, is unsettling and in reality a fact that happens quite frequently and has played out often as of late as Obama's final term in office nears the two year mark leaving little time to exact the global change he and fellow democrats had hoped.

Without medical research and on the ground medical assistance from the United States, the current administrations long term agenda for Africa would be severely impacted.  Fast tracking medical research as the continental United states is now effected and countless, possibly millions, of Americans could potentially be infected.

His ineffective handling of the Ebola outbreak revealed a depraved indifference and reckless endangerment of the American people and placed all citizens in the path of potential exposure and death.

Americans Concerned Over Large Scale Ebola Outbreak.

A random poll taken throughout the past week indicated approximately 90% of the 300 callers expect a major outbreak in the United States within the next 12 months.

Most respondent answered "concerned" to the Ebola outbreak question and "very concerned" about its potential impact individually.

The Ebola Gamble

The President, hiding behind the improving domestic agenda, expected the American people to overlook the obvious missteps, miscalculations and gross errors in foreign policy without an uprising or questioning of his leadership.

Blatantly refusing to institute any security measures, when other nations had announced the suspension of inbound and outbound flights, on August 22, 2014, into the highly effected West African nations of Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria, he intentionally jeopardized the well being of every American citizen.

Instead he continued to allow flights originating from these countries to land in five of the largest U.S. metropolitan areas New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas, and relied on an honor code screening system invited the spread of the disease to the United States.

Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian national, who lied on his Ebola screening form, has died in a Dallas hospital. He is the first victim of Ebola. The second, and first known transmission of the disease, is a medical professional, a nurse, who assisted, always dressed in full medical protection, in caring for Duncan.

Now, with Patient 1 dead and two, a nurse, and not one of the 48 high risk trace cases, is in quarantine,

The President has made the Ebola outbreak the number one priority not for the people of the United States but for his devotion to the people of Africa.  Galvanizing medical professionals and pharmaceuticals company in the hopes to deconstruct the virus so to find a cure, not for the millions who elected him, but so that his African policy can move forward

The President effectually, indicating his own error, actually re-wrote history as the United States will never be a nation free from Ebola.

It is doubtful the president will face any type of party or joint sanction or criminal charges over his clear personal agenda and exposing the people of the United States to a pandemic with the potential of murdering millions of Americans.

Pledging all resources, he is out to save his Power and Trade Africa Agenda and the 15billion in investments.

It remains to be seen how much President Obama's foreign policy gamble, as Ebola has spread, for the first time in forty years, to the United States, will cost the people of the United States.

Malala Shares Nobel Peace Prize

Malala Yousafzai, the teenager shot in the head by the Taliban for pursuing education, was named winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. She shares the honor with Kailash Satyarthi, a children's activist determined to end child slavery, from India.

Announced by Thorbjørn Jagland, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, said the two would share the prize "for their struggle against suppression of children and young people and the right of all children to education."

Kailash Satyarthi in a winners interview said his efforts were just beginning, "Yes, we are going to organise End Child Slavery Week from 19th November to 25th November, and that would be an annual event which we would be organising every year on different aspects of child slavery, and this year we are demanding to the international community that the abolition of child slavery must be incorporated into the post-millennium development goal or the sustainable development goal. So that would be the emphasis of this year's End Child Slavery Week."

Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Laurent, and Kailash Satyarthi join such luminaries as the Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Theodore Roosevelt, Elie Wiesel, Jane Adams and Aung San Suu Kyi.

In a released statement President Obama said:

At just 17 years old, Malala Yousafzai has inspired people around the world with her passion and determination to make sure girls everywhere can get an education.  When the Taliban tried to silence her, Malala answered their brutality with strength and resolve.

Kailash Satyarthi has dedicated his life to ending child labor and wiping the stain of slavery from our world.  The true measure of Kailash's efforts is not a single prize he has been awarded, but the tens of thousands of people who today live with freedom and dignity thanks to his efforts. Through his advocacy, Kailash reminds us of our shared responsibility to end the exploitation of others, especially the most vulnerable among us.

Malala and Kailash have faced down threats and intimidation, risking their own lives to save others and build a better world for future generations.  They come from different countries, religious backgrounds, and generations—a Muslim and a Hindu, a Pakistani and an Indian – but they share an unyielding commitment to justice and an unshakeable belief in the basic dignity of every girl and boy.
