Wine News: Introducing, From The Loire Valley, Volage, A Delicious Luxe Sparkling Rosé

Entering the market just as the sparkling wine category is seeing significant and rising demand, VOLAGE is a new sparkling rosé poised for rapid growth, is the first wine released by French American Brands, Inc.

It is a Crémant de Loire AOC and offers the fusion of a méthode traditionnelle sparkling and a rosé wine at an affordable luxury price point. Its makers anticipate a strong and loyal following, particularly with women and millennials.

In French, "volage" expresses the idea of freedom and has associations with the women's rights movement.

VOLAGE is a single domain Crémant, produced at Domaine du Landreau in Val du Layon. Nestled in the Loire Valley, one of the most celebrated winemaking regions in France, the property boasts some of the best grapes in the region thanks to careful management and sustainable practices.

The vineyard also features mature Cabernet Franc vines that have produced exceptional grapes for many years.

Hand of God Wines Review – A Delicious Rapture of Flavor

The production of VOLAGE is as meticulous as the growing of the delicate grapes that impart its unique flavor profile. To give the sparkling rosé a more complex flavor, it is aged for a full 3 years on lees (sedimentary yeast), longer than many Champagnes.

The Sparkling Rosé is a Brut Sauvage with a dosage of 3g per liter, a drier, more drinkable wine, which makes it much more versatile for food and wine pairings.

VOLAGE will create personalized experiences among its consumers and aims to engage a strong following by using highly creative, authentic actions that inspire creativity, entertainment and "causes célèbres."

"We want VOLAGE to become the go-to sparkling wine for young affluent millennials, combining a high quality sparkling wine in a stunning package for a reasonable price. After all, our motto is: "Celebrate daily!" says François-Xavier Chaillou, owner of VOLAGE.

At a retail price of under $28, VOLAGE is anticipated to perform well — the demand for a top-quality, well-made sparkling wine, both on and off premise, is stronger than ever.
