The Weatherman Umbrella Review - Attractive, Sturdy, The Perfect Weather Accessory

Tenth Street Hats, a California Company, founded in 1921 by Jack Dorfman and Arthur Hyman, as part of Dorfman Pacific, are, by admission, of humble beginnings. The Tenth Street name is taken from the original warehouse on 10th Street and Broadway in Oakland, California, It remains a thriving art of the community nearly 100 years later.

A tour of the Tenth Street Millinery would show consumers a dedication to a craftmanship long forgotten for automation. The hat making machines used by Tenth Street are rare and one-of-a kind. The longevity in the business has cultivate relationships with fabric and trim specialists.

The development team at Tenth Street Hats each bring an area of expertise. With backgrounds in fashion, travel, trends and millinery ideas that are fun, fashionable, attractive, and fetching move from the page to the factory where the hats are handcrafted.

Keeping cool, looking haute, a lazy summer day beaching or boating, Tenth Street Millinery has a selection of hats for everyone. Some of Tenth Street’s favorite music festival hats include:

PHUKET - the hand-woven wide brim keeps the sun off your face, while the bright pom trim and herringbone sweatband keeps you looking vibrant.
AMIENS - the floppy, wide-brimmed hat with a round crown hat and vibrantly painted wool is crushable and portable, perfect for bouncing around the festival.
NAMASTE - this one was made for stuntin’ in the sun: There’s a braided leather tail, leather binding and a peacock feather.

I received a Brisbaine Hat from Tenth Street. A wide 4 ½ inch, brim, American made handwoven, with Ecuadorian panama straw hat. It is lovely and functional, the ecru colored straw makes this a go to for any outdoor occasion.

The one size styling works for most. This style doesn’t have size adjustments even as the page display has size guide and hat size charts. Some of the offerings are only one size and until one receive the hat it can be impossible to tell if the hat fits and one can wear it with the panache intended.

Hats are a beautiful accessory and the right one can be as effective as alluring perfume, or the perfect cologne, and will be remembered long after the evening is over.
