Men In Black International Review - A Wild Intergalactic Ride

Director Shawn Levy (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM/DATE NIGHT) has a kinder, gentler vision of the future where wind farming and alternative energy sources are commonplace and wind harvest turbines dot the landscape. A future where men have departed from championship boxing and Robots have become the evolution of the sport controlled by corner men with play stations, essentially Soccer Dads on the sidelines. Performance

The film begins in a lonely revamped pickup driven across a deserted 2020 East Texas countryside by Charlie Keaton, embodied by the talented Hugh Jackman, a down on his luck, emotionally challenged, former boxing champion haunted and taunted by the past. Once again, looking to win a few bucks to make it to the next stop the illusiveness of the road seems one step ahead of him.

On a journey of self discovery, Keaton finds himself recreating his deadbeat Dad role for the summer to a son Max (DAKOTA GOYO) he has never seen and can barely remember. Max Keaton, has been reared in wealth, has manners, skills, a love for robotics, the World of Robotics Boxing League (WRB) and a quality, common sense, obviously inherited from his mother.

Yesterday Review - Charming, The Best Film of the Summer

The two set out on a father son bonding trip. Keaton, staying true to his gamblers addiction purchases a fighting bot, NOISY BOY, to play the odds and win back some "real" easy money.

Needless to say, betting on the long shot, the 100-to-one odds at the track, leaves the two Kenton's depleted of cash, bot, and pride. Dumpster diving, he and the kid head out to scavenge for parts. A rain storm ensues the two, part man, part boy and all boy, are digging in the mud when potential disaster strikes. Max, is saved from death by a dead bot, a sparring partner buried in the mud. The only one with any plans or common sense he digs the bot of his muddy grave and rescues him from his fate: A junk yard nothing, tossed away, dead and already buried.
