The 98th Academy Awards have finally arrived and Haute-Lifestyle.com Publisher Janet Walker is virtually covering the winner's room where more than 300 members of the global media have gathered and are waiting to interview the Oscar winners. 

The journey to the Academy Awards have been a tumultuous trek, and so many strong talent contenders were surprisingly left out when the nominations were announced. Throughout the season some award nominees seemed to separate from the group of talent, all of whom are deserving of mention and notice, and deliver the magic, a single element that sets their performance apart.

Sinners, from Ryan Coogler, earned a record-breaking 16 nominations, a feat in and of itself and yet as history has proven scoring the most nominations doesn't always equate to a sweep of the coveted golden statuette. The Academy voters can be gracious, generous, or surprising. It is sure to be an evening of the unexpected.

Here's to another great year of theatrical releases, streaming, big budget blockbusters and the indies that seem to capture the heart with resonating performances that stand the test of time.
