U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian set the trial date for disgraced Hip Hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, for May 2025, and will be reviewing a third motion for the accused to be released on bail pending trial.
Sean Combs Trail Date Set
Sean Combs, 54, who once boosted a billion-dollar financial portfolio, remains incarcerated in a federal prison and to hear his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, the meals served at the Brooklyn Detention Center are the roughest part of prison for the embattled mogul.

Obviously, Mr. Agnifilo did not mean that the besieged entrepreneur had adjusted to the restrictions, gang pressure, and loss of freedom, as most would find the experience of prison extremely harsh, stressful, and challenging. Some find it nearly impossible to manage the emotions associated with incarceration. Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide while awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Correctional Facility in New York City.
"Combs has so far lost two bids to be released on bail. The first judge, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky, sided with U.S. attorneys' argument that Combs posed a risk if he were to be released for home detention. The following day, Judge Andrew L. Carter, Jr. — who has since recused himself from the case — also ruled against Combs, determining that no amount of bail could guarantee Combs wouldn't tamper with witnesses," USA Today reported.
Lawyers for Combs have filed a third motion to have him released on bail and placed in house arrest in his home Florida. The likelihood of that petition being successful is slim.
Combs currently faces seven more months, at minimum, of incarceration unless U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian grants his third petition for bail.

There are many victims who have come forward and could present testimony of horrific and appalling actions, sexual assault, rape, imprisonment, use of a controlled substances to facilitate rape that the witnesses involved the most damaging allegations could face more coercion.
"Prosecutors said they expect it will take about a month to extract data from his seized devices. Describing the quantity of data as "extraordinary," they said they might bring a superseding indictment once the data is all extracted," People Magazine reported.
The fallout from Combs' arrest has begun to reverberate throughout the Hip Hop industry as Kayne West has been sued for allegedly drugging and raping his former assistant at Sean Combs studio session according to a court filing in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Kayne West is not the only big name in Hip Hop that has been allegedly implicated in criminal wrongdoing. Although no further arrests have been made, victims are selling their stories, with little to no corroboration or the traditional three source fact rule.
Lawyers for Beyonce and Jay-Z have responded to a Piers Morgan segment that was negligent in its presentation of the couple and stated the interview used their fame for click bait.
"Piers Morgan's irresponsible broadcast filled with lies is so far over the line that a legal ultimatum was warranted," Jordan Siev, one of Jay-Z's lawyers, said Friday. "Nobody acting under the guise of journalism can elicit outrageous statements from exploitative situations in an effort to drive clicks, and not have to answer for that," NBCnews.com reported.

Garth Brooks Names Accuser
The public war between Garth Brooks, who claims he is a victim of an extortion attempt, and his accuser, who has been named by Brooks, but this publication does not name sexual assault victims, unless they have previously given the media expressed permission, is getting uglier by the week.
Brooks, who has been married to Country Music star, Trisha Yearwood, since 2005, presented a timeline that indicated that the stylist at the center of this litigation began working for Yearwood, before her employment with Brooks. Yearwood is said to have recommended her to Brooks, who allegedly increased her employment as she was in a financial slump.
The allegations become more graphic as the accuser has stated Brooks came out of the shower naked at his home, as she was there for work, grabbed her hands and forcibly grabbed her hands and pulled them to his genitals, while using dirty talk, or graphic sexual language.

After this incident she continued accepting employment from Brooks, although it is not clear if Yearwood still used her services. In 2019, the accuser and Brooks flew, in a private jet, to Los Angeles where he had booked only one single suite, which is unusual, and where she alleges Brooks violently raped her in a hotel room. The woman sought medical treatment.
Brooks is not claiming the actions were consensual. He is claiming they did not happen.
"After the lawsuit was filed, Brooks released a statement that said in part: "For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars. ...Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of — ugly acts no human should ever do to another," reported The Washington Post.
This type of above the law thinking is skewed by years of placating by any person that is aligned with the celebrity, or anyone who has a belief of superiority, and that the general population rules do not apply. This is a repeated cycle. The belief that the woman was in a financial slump indicates no recourse, or an easy target and moreover, essentially, she was the help, of no real value, insignificant.
This is a developing story.

IWMF Statement on Death of Victoria Roshchyna, 2022 Courage Award Winner
The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) is devastated to learn that Ukrainian journalist Victoria Roshchyna, a 2022 Courage in Journalism Award recipient, has died while imprisoned in Russia. As details emerge surrounding the circumstances of her death, our thoughts are with Victoria's family, colleagues, and loved ones during this immensely difficult time.
Victoria disappeared on August 3, 2023 while reporting in Russian-occupied territory, when it is believed she was captured by Russian military forces. Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed her detention in April 2024, nearly eight months later. Prior to her imprisonment, Victoria spent more than a year reporting from the front lines of Russia's war on Ukraine as an independent journalist for outlets including Ukrayinska Pravda, Hromadske and Radio Free Europe.
Victoria's passing is not just the loss of a remarkable woman, but of an intrepid witness to history. Regardless of her cause of death, we can say with certainty that her life was taken because she dared tell the truth. We hope her death will not be in vain: the international community must pressure Russia to cease targeting journalists and silencing press freedom.
