Paul Walker Autopsy Reveals Death Almost Instantaneous

Paul Walker, the “Fast and Furious” actor who died in a tragic automobile accident over the weekend was killed "almost instantaneously" according to the Los Angeles Coroner who released his findings to the media today.

Walker, 40, along with business partner and financial advisor Roger Rodas, 38, were attending a charity event for Walker’s charity Reach Out Worldwide, in Valencia California, on Saturday, November 30, when the two decided to take a ride in a newly purchased Porsche Carrera GT that had been on display throughout the day.

Rodas, CEO of Always Evolving, a high performance luxury auto shop co-owned by Walker and a race car driver who finished second in the Pirelli Porsche Driver’s Cup Challenge, was behind the wheel of the $350,000.00 fire engine red 640hp exotic vehicle known for high speed and difficult handling.

The two left the event at approximately 3:00pm and about 20 minutes later, within walking distance of the event, Rodas lost control of the vehicle smashed into a cement pole, snapping it in half, and wrapping the vehicle around a tree.

According to the coroner, Rodas died immediately from “traumatic injuries” and Walker died from “traumatic and thermal injuries.”  He also added although Walker survived the impact of the crash his death was “almost instantaneous.”

KTLA and The Wrap.com reported those attending the Reach Out Worldwide toy drive held for the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, heard the explosion, saw a plume of black smoke and grabbed fire extinguishers and headed to the scene.

It has been reported they emptied five fire extinguishers at the scene and attempted to reach into the burning vehicle and rescue the “Fast and Furious” star.

Walker, best known for his role as Brian O’Conner in the “Fast and Furious” films was in the middle of production on the seventh installment of the Universal Pictures franchise. Production has since been shuttered.

Universal Pictures studios has been grappling in the days, since the accident, as to how to best handle the loss of one of the franchise’s most beloved characters while balancing the sensitivities of the mourning process for his fans, family and friends.

Both men leave behind grieving family members.

Walker is survived by his father, Paul William Walker, five siblings, and a daughter Meadow, 15, who recently moved to Southern California to be with her father.

Rodas is survived by his wife, and two young children.
