As Daytime programming has diversified, and expanded to include streaming, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the awards would encompass three separate award group: the Daytime Creative and Lifestyle Awards, the Annual Children & Family Emmy Awards, now in its second year, and the Children's & Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

The highlight of the Children 's & Family Emmy came when voice artist Peter Cullen received a Lifetime achievement Emmy Awards. Cullen who has voiced too many characters to name, and is most famously known for the voice of Eeyore, the pessimistic donkey in Winnie the Pooh said, "You know, you're never too old to get recognition. Especially when you're young, that's when it's important, but when you get a little long in the tooth, recognition becomes a strong friend. To help you through the many rejections as an actor you might receive over the course of a career year. And gratefulness becomes a strong feeling for many of us."

Actor Jack Black, who was nominated for the voice of "Po," also won an Emmy and his exuberance was felt throughout the room. In accepting his award, Black said, referring to his casting in the original "Kung Fu Panda, I gotta thank Jeffrey Katzenberg. 20 years ago, gave me the chance to play this role, and it's been the role of a lifetime. I've had so much fun over the years."

Another highlight came during the Daytime Creative and Lifestyle Awards, when veteran journalists Connie Chung honored her husband, legendary talk show host Maury Povich with a lifetime achievement Emmy.

Before the award was presented Povich a tribute package that featured Whoopi Goldberg, Kelly Clarkson, Lewis Black, Karamo Brown, Michael Wilbon, and Tony Kornheiser was aired for the audience.

Of her husband, Chung says, "My husband, Maury Povich, is the GOAT, the greatest of all time. Maury is the longest-running daytime talk show host in the history of broadcast television." She continues, "I know that you think he's been determining the paternity of every child in America all his life, but nooo, in his 67 freaking years in television, he's been a news reporter and a news anchor and old fashion talk show host interviewing world leaders, politicians, members of Congress, authors, movie stars and even Julia Child."

Charlie Sheen Assaulted by Neighbor

Actor Charlie Sheen was assaulted by his Malibu neighbor Electra Schrock, in what sounds more like a desperate attempt to be noticed or a publicity stunt. Schrock allegedly dumped garbage outside Sheen's front door the day before the attack.

"The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed to The Post that Electra Schrock, who is reportedly the "Two and a Half Men" star's neighbor, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury, and residential burglary," reported The New York Post.

Sheen, at one-time television's highest paid television star earning a whopping $1.8million per episode, has been out of the news for some time and just this month gave People Magazine an exclusive interview where the once struggling alcohol and drug addicted actor explained, "Next month I'll be six years sober," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I have a very consistent lifestyle now. It's all about single dad stuff, and raising my 14-year-old twin boys Max and Bob."

Nirvana "Nevermind" Lawsuit Revived

"A panel of federal appellate judges has reversed the dismissal of a child porn lawsuit filed against the former rock band Nirvana by the man who was photographed as a four-month-old baby for the cover of the famous 1991 album "Nevermind." The lawsuit was dismissed in September 2022 by a Los Angeles federal district judge, who ruled that the suit against several record labels, the band's surviving members and the estate of late guitarist Kurt Cobain was barred by a 10-year statute of limitations, reported The Wrap.com.
