SABAN Films Acquires Worldwide Rights to Yale Entertainment’s Crime Thriller "Clean Up Crew"

Saban Films announced today they have secured worldwide rights (except Spain and Italy) to Yale Entertainment's Clean Up Crew. Directed by Jon Keeyes (The Survivalist) and written by Matthew Rogers, the film recently wrapped production in Ireland.

Clean-Up Crew stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Velvet Goldmine), Academy Award®-winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter), Academy Award®-nominee Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory), Ekaterina Baker ("The Protégé"), Andy Kellegher ("Game of Thrones"), and Laurence Kinlan ("Ned Kelly").

Clean Up Crew follows a crime scene clean-up crew (Rhys Meyers, Leo) that discovers a briefcase full of cash, unknowingly sending them into battle with mobsters – led by a ruthless crime boss (Banderas) – hitmen, and corrupt government agents who will unleash hell to get it back. 

Clean Up Crew is produced by Yale's Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Michael J. Rothstein alongside Richard Bolger and Conor Barry from Hail Mary Pictures, and Richard Clabaugh, Stephen Braun and Kurt Ebner.

Executive producers include Scott Levenson, Jason Kringstein, Lee Broda, Richard Switzer, Aden Darmody, Tyler Konney, Grant S. Johnson, Jesse Korman, Jeffrey Tussi, David Nazar, Patrick Heaphy, Matt Helderman, Luke Taylor, Will Hirschfeld, Kade Thomas, Colby Cote, Grady Craig, Swen Temmel, Ryan V. Murphy, and Simon and Harriet Cooper. The deal was negotiated by Jonathan Saba from Saban Films and Nick Donnermeyer from Yale's recently launched sales banner Great Escape.

Saban Films recently acquired: Jon Keeye's The Last Girl, starring Alice Eve, Shelley Hennig, and Antonio Banderas; Pierre Morel's The Ambush, the highest-grossing Arabic-language film ever in the UAE, and Saban's first non-English language film acquisition; Jason Momoa's The Last Manhunt; American Murderer starring Tom Pelphrey, Ryan Phillippe, Idina Menzel And Jacki Weaver; Ana Lily Amirpour's Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon starring Kate Hudson and Jun Jong-Seo; Brett Donowho's western The Old Way starring Nicolas Cage; Adam Sigal's reincarnation dark comedy Chariot with John Malkovich; and Butcher's Crossing starring Nicolas Cage which made its world premiere at last month's Toronto International Film Festival.

2023 Sundance Film Festival Single Tickets On-Sale Starting Thursday, January 12th


Yale recently launched an international film sales and distribution company, Great Escape, to represent their rapidly growing slate of in-house titles in addition to select third party content. Yale also partnered with director/actor Katie Holmes to launch the new production label Lafayette Pictures which is in post-production on two features which Holmes directed and starred in - Alone Together, with Jim Sturgess and Melissa Leo, and Rare Objects with Derek Luke and Alan Cumming.

The group was one of the first production companies to commence production following the outbreak of Covid in 2020, and has been safely and successfully producing films on a consistent basis since then. Recent successes include: Becky, starring Lulu Wilson and Kevin James, which was released in June 2020 and became the #1 grossing movie at the box office; Joe Penna's Stowaway starring Anna Kendrick and Toni Collette which was released by Netflix; and Separation with Rupert Friend, Brian Cox and Madeline Brewer for Open Road.
