MIFF Announces Special Screening on Federico Fellini

The 42nd Moscow International Film Festival announces a special screening of "In the Shot - Federico Fellini" a unique documentary chronicling the director's life, along with other rare moments, and the restored film, "Interview."

The program "In the Shot - Federico Fellini" is the director's life in miniature, where he is shown at work, in his element at different moments. The videos reveal the moments of tremendous ingenuity that Fellini's films represent life itself.


MIFF: The Opening Ceremony of the 42nd Moscow International Film Festival


Eighteen small videos, a few minutes each, are shown daily before films from different MIFF programs.

You can see Fellini on the set of La Dolce Vita at the Trevi Fountain, at the premiere of Eight and a Half, on the set of Satyricon and at the casting of Amarcord when he is awarded the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and other unique frames.

Also on October 7 at 18:45 in the Oktyabr Cinema Center (Hall # 9) a restored version of one of the director's most recent films, "Interview from 1987," will be shown.


The 42nd Moscow International Film Festival Announces Jury, Main Competition Films


According to the plot, Japanese journalists are interviewing a director who is shooting a new film - an adaptation of his own biography. The interview is taken in the same place where the director himself interviewed the movie star of the 1930s in his youth.
