Moscow International Film Festival Special Screening of "Sherlock in Russia" Announced

The premiere of the original START film series "Sherlock in Russia" will take place on October 6 at the Oktyabr Cinema Center as part of the 42nd Moscow International Film Festival with Director Nurbek Egen in attendance.

 

The screening will feature the first episode. Along with Egen, also expected to attend are producers of the START video service, Eduard Iloyan, Alexey Trotsyuk, Denis Zhalinsky, Vitaly Shlyappo, Irina Sosnovaya and Sreda producers Alexander Tsekalo, Alexandra Remizova, Ivan Samokhvalov.


The 42nd Moscow International Film Festival Announces Jury, Main Competition Films


The show of the joint project START and the production company "Sreda" will be held with the participation of the creators of the project and guests of the film festival. The main roles in the series were played by Maxim Matveev, Irina Starshenbaum, Vladimir Mishukov and Konstantin Bogomolov, for Konstantin this work became the first big role on the screen.

Moscow International Film Festival Hosts Three Days of Informative Industry Sessions


According to the plot, Sherlock Holmes (Maxim Matveyev) follows the trail of Jack the Ripper. The maniac has already killed several women in London, each time leaving messages at the scene of the murder addressed to the detective. After an unsuccessful fight with the murderer, in which Watson is wounded, Holmes realizes that his opponent has fled ... to the Russian Empire.

Having rented a room on Pekarskaya Street from Dr. Kartsev (Vladimir Mishukov), Holmes together with him unravels terrible crimes, despite the opposition of the local police. In St. Petersburg, no one has heard of deduction - the methods of the London detective are not taken seriously. Another assistant to the detective is Sophia (Irina Starshenbaum) from St. Petersburg, whose relationship grows for the Englishman into something more than a joint investigation.


The Second Chitka Film Festival Begins Accepting Submissions


Oleg Malovichko, the author of such successful series and films as "Method", "Trotsky", "Ice", "Attraction", was responsible for the original script of the adventures of the London detective in the city of Dostoevsky and Gogol. For the visual solution of the film series - Nikolai Bogachev, cameraman for Trotsky, Method and Trigger.

The premiere will take place on October 6, at the Oktyabr cinema center, hall №2 (IMAX), the gathering of guests will start at 20.30, screening - at 21.00.
