Broadway Records Announces Release of New Mash-Up Single

Broadway Records announced today the release of Andy Karl, Orfeh and Andrew Logan’s new mash-up single YESTERDAY / TIME AFTER TIME / SHALLOW. The single is now available on BroadwayRecords.com and all other digital platforms

Orfeh, Andy Karl and Andrew Logan have known each other for years and their friendship is what initially sparked the idea for this particular medley. Their voices not only compliment these songs but, like their friendship, they also complement each other.

Country Recording Star Travis Tritt Releases New Album

When the power couple Orfeh & Andy Karl set out to perform their debut concert, Legally Bound, they immediately called their best friend and incredible vocalist Andrew Logan to join them.

Thankfully, he agreed, which quickly brought up the notion of the three of them singing something special together. YESTERDAY, TIME AFTER TIME and SHALLOW are individually powerful songs, but when they were brought together with the help of musical director Steven Jamail, it was clear this was, in fact, something very special. In part, the story behind this medley is an expression of how these three artists are bound together by their strong history.

What has become abundantly clear is this medley is a message to all those lifelong friends who prove through all the yesterdays that time after time they stay strong through the deep or the shallow.

She has a "powerhouse voice" (The New York Times). He is "a theater world heartthrob" (The New York Times). Together, Orfeh and Andy Karl have had an impressively long run as one of Broadway’s best couples. Although they met while doing the Broadway production of Saturday Night Fever, their irrepressible chemistry became the stuff of legend when they co-starred in Legally Blonde, which garnered Orfeh a Tony® nomination.

Essential Albums for Dinner Parties

Karl earned his own Tony® nods for Rocky, On the Twentieth Century, and Groundhog Day (for which he received an Olivier Award). Fresh off their run in Pretty Woman as Kit De Luca and Edward Lewis, Broadway’s power couple celebrates the release of their album with a return engagement of their hit show Legally Bound. The sexy, funny, and enormously talented duo tear through an eclectic mix of pop, rock, rhythm and blues, and show tunes that is sure to excite and delight!

After a chance meeting at a recording studio many, many years ago, Andrew Logan and Orfeh began a life-long friendship (he was signed to the legendary Motown label and she with EMI records) and have collaborated on numerous musical projects over the years. As a record producer, he wrote and produced for such artists as Garth Brooks, Paula Abdul, Dakota Moon, Nobody’s Angel and many more, scoring a #1 Billboard Dance Hit with the single "If That’s Love" with Italian superstar, Laura Pausini. As a director, Andrew’s creative vision has been seen and enjoyed by millions, from television and Las Vegas to concert stages, everywhere. Andrew directed Toni Braxton's critically acclaimed "Revealed" in Las Vegas and her U.S "Libra" tour.

He created and directed tours for Fall Out Boy ("Young Wild Things Tour and "Honda Civic Tour"), Panic At The Disco ("Nothing Rhymes With Circus") and sax player extraordinaire Dave Koz ("At The Movies" Tour & "A Smooth Jazz Christmas" 10th Anniversary Tour).

Originally from Galveston, Texas, Steven Jamail’s music, orchestrations and arrangements have been performed on Broadway, at the White House, The Public Theater, Theater Under The Stars, The Alliance Theater and most recently, the American Songbook Series at Lincoln Center. Television work includes arrangements for The Rosie Show on OWN, the 2014 Winter Olympics and a holiday arrangement for NBC’s Tree-Lighting at Rockefeller Center, which he also conducted.
