The most celebrated partnership between President Donald Trump and his strongest supporter, Elon Musk, has spectacularly imploded, just days after the president praised the former DOGE chief for his work at the Department of Government Efficiency.
The President's job approval rating, according to The New York Times for the period ending June 8, 2025, of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President increased by 1% to 46% and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as president decreased by 2% to 50%. A slight 3% of the population polled have no opinion. Ratings are calculated weekly.

Trump and Musk: Bromance Buddies Acrimonious Falling Out
The most celebrate partnership in recent history has hit the skids and with no courts to squash either side the public will be privy to all the backroom details that Trump does not want his base, the constituency, he is trying to maintain to continue to build up a coalition and keep the majority of right wing radicals strong throughout the country.
As Elon Musk, the once head of the Department of Government Efficiency, had complete access to the private information of the citizen, and carte blanch to slice the government at whim or will, he also had the freedom to uncover all government departments that would
The break-up between the two men did not begin with Musk's criticism of the "One Big Beautiful Bill," Trump's signature legislation which Musk has said was filled with "pork." Outside of the escalating war between Musk and Trump, it's doubtful the citizen has even heard of the legislation. Trump has posted, "50 Wins in the One Big Beautiful Bill," on the White House website, which offers insights into how the legislation will effect the citizen. And while there are some positives, there are also negatives, as the bill rescinds every "green" act and allows drilling on federal lands, it also reverses electric vehicle mandates.
As Musk is the owner of Tesla, the electric carry company, reversing electric vehicle mandates could cause the company, whose stock has steadily declined since the bromance between Trump and Musk went center ring, to continue to decline.
Musk has deeply criticized the bill, saying, "Calling President Donald Trump's signature budget bill an "abomination" on X, Musk urged his millions of followers to call members of Congress to "KILL the BILL," according to ABCnews.
Throughout the course of the week, the public has been privy to information which it long suspected including Musk statement that without him Donald Trump would not be president, and insinuating he bought the election by funneling more than $200 million into Trump's campaign.
And as in any acrimonious break-up the shared secrets between the two men just kept coming, as Musk explained the reason why the Jeffrey Epstein files will not be released is that Trump is in them, and Musk alleges that the two partied together and Trump was part of his inner circle.
None of these comments seem to rile Trump, who would often deflect his detractor's comments with a sharp ad hominin attack on Truth Social and even cautioned his VP JD Vance to tread lightly when it comes to Musk. However, when Musk indicated that he may begin to fund the democrats or even start his own party, The American Party, Trump began to release bombshells indicating Musk was a known drug user, and used so much Ketamine, the same drug that killed the actor Matthew Perry, that the president became concerned.
As the "bitter public feud between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk erupted on Thursday, with the Tesla billionaire agreeing to calls for Trump's impeachment while Trump suggested ending Musk's government contracts. Musk showed some signs of softening his tone, but Trump on Friday told ABC News Musk was a "man who has lost his mind" and that he was "not particularly" interested in talking to him right now," reported ABCnews.com.
The reality behind the implosion of the relationship was a slow build over the last six months, as Musk, who had no skill in people management, and was as a blunt an instrument as Trump, began to slice through government, leaving thousands unemployed, and playing boss as he initiated a policy, through email, requiring employees to list their five accomplishments over the past week.
In February 9, 2025, just two short weeks after Trump's inauguration, this statement was featured in the Beltway Insider, "Most of Trump's allies become his enemy at some point, and Elon Musk is no different, the two will eventually part ways, leaving the government to fix the potential problems resulting from Musk's intimate access to government secrets and personal and sensitive data."

Ukraine Pummels Russia
After three years of war, Ukraine finally understood the task to stop Putin and leave him dumfounded they needed to take out strategic targets: Communications, transportations, infrastructure, and military installations. This week Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky finally did.
Russian Bombers Attacked
Ukraine Military Forces surprised the world this week, with a stunning display of military ingenuity and innovation as they managed to use drone weapons to wipe out a significant portion of Russia's fighter planes.
"The SBU said in a statement on Wednesday that during the operation, modern drone control technology was used in the operation combining autonomous artificial intelligence algorithms and manual intervention by the operator. Due to signal loss, some drones switched to performing the mission using artificial intelligence along a pre-planned route. When a drone approached and made contact with a specific target, its explosive was automatically triggered," reported Reuters.
The drones had been smuggled into Russia, through over-the-ground long haul semi-trucks with false ceilings and retractable roofs. The inside of the truck carried goods. Small single drone square units, each holding a single drone, had been built under the semitrucks roof. Once the trucks were positioned near military installations in Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and the Amur region, the roofs retracted, and the drones became operational.
The ingenuity of the operation marks a turning point not only for the Ukraine but could bring Putin closer to ending this unwinnable war, especially now, as Ukraine has show it is willing to think outside the normal war constraints and utilize relatively inexpensive and more importantly unmanned equipment in its effort to dismantle the Kremlin's military power.

Crimean Bridge
In a stunning one-two punch, Ukraine military detonated underwater bombs that had been set on the Crimean Bridge, the main roadway that spans the Kerch Strait, connecting Sochi, Russia, and the illegally annexed Crimea, Ukraine.
The Ukraine Security Service issued a statement indicating the bridge was severely damaged at the seabed level after the equivalent of 1,100 kg of TNT, that had been clandestinely planted over the several months.
Destroying the Kerch bridge is critical to slow the advancement of Russian military into the region. While the bridge did not collapse, the Kremlin admitted there was an explosion, although images of the blast depict some surface roadway damage and the concrete pylons, the support towers, which were the origin point of the blast are still standing.
"In comments later on June 3, Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, said the "key and most complex" part of the bridge had been damaged in the attack. . . .The bridge suffered significant damage during two previous Ukrainian attacks in October 2022 and July 2023, though neither managed to take the bridge out of commission," reported The Kyiv Independent.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged the blast and has not provided any further information or a structural assessment.
Ukraine military forces have attempted on several occasions to render the bridge inoperable. In order to effectively stop Putin from having easy access to the Ukraine front, Zelensky and his military general will need to develop a military operation, much like Japanese Bombers in World War II, that leaves the bridge without parts of the roadway.
Cease Fire Not an Option
After several false starts, Russian President Putin has announced his terms for a cease fire: Ukraine must relinquish Kyiv. With this absurd demand Putin, 72, is effectively derailing any chance for a cease fire or peace plan.
Ukraine wants all Russian presence removed from the boundaries of the nation and want their nation reunified to its pre-February 2014 territorial sovereignty, meaning Russia returns Crimea to Ukraine.
President Trump has indicated unless both sides are prepared to negotiate in good faith the President will no longer facilitate any peace discussions.
As it appeared that Putin's desire is to reunified pre-1990 U.S.S.R, which was once the largest landmass nation in the world. This singular goal, along with a legacy, Putin, who has been in service to Russian for the majority of his adult life, sees seizing the Ukraine as imperative to his lifelong legacy.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin exhibits characteristics of a psychopath who can only be deterred by a "credible threat of force," a Cornell University forensic psychiatrist told Fox News Digital," Fox News reported. And while no physician can assess a patient they have not met with, at times in the past Putin's mental health has been assessed as narcissistic, with an absence of empathy and prone to aggressive behaviors.
Compromise has never been a characteristic of Putin, and to end this war he will need to rethink his long term strategy, or Ukraine, already three years into war, and escalating with both shock and surprise, will become Russia's Afghanistan.

Coronavirus Total
At the order of the President of the United States, the U.S. no longer recognizes the value of The World Health Organization. The CDC has recommended every person from age six months, including senior citizens should receive at least one shot of an updated COVID-19 vaccine, annually. The death toll from Covid-19 has dramatically decreased, as has transmission of the virus. Even as confirmed new cases continue each week, fewer are dying from the newer variants.
For the 7 days ending June 8, 2025, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases reported by the World Health Organization increased by 145,600 to 777,891,034. The total worldwide death toll increased by 284 to 7,096,187 deaths. The United States has stopped providing Covid data to the World Health Organization. (Data updated May 18, 2025, from the World Health Organization).

Trump Stokes Biden Hate Fires
After the acrimonious break-up with billionaire Elon Musk, President Trump returned to his tried and true strategy of Biden bashing. With two books, over the span of one month allegedly the onset of early or late stage dementia, depending on the book, Trump has used his sweeping and unrestrained power to launch an investigation into those who allegedly covered up former President Biden's mental decline.
With the whole of government at his command, Trump has continued his retaliatory war against Biden and the democrats, at large, as well as any fundraising tools they use. Trump's recent investigation, after the allegations surfaced in "Original Sin" from CNN's Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson of Axios, which stated Biden's team was charged with hiding his mental decline and were often "in charge" of running the country. Trump's main focus is on the use of the auto pen, which uses real ink to create a president's signature.
In a fact sheet released by the White House, Trump has initiated an investigation into whether certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden's mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.
Biden responded to Trump witch hunt, stating '"Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency," Biden said in a statement late Wednesday. "I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn't is ridiculous and false,"' reported The Washington Post.
