By banning the United Nations agency from intervening in Gaza, Israel is defying the international community while giving the impression of locking itself in endless paranoia and a forever war with an end determined by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Refusing the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees access to the Gaza Strip, and thereby violating international law, Israel is not only continuing the conflict that has pitted it against Hamas since October 7, 2023, but is also clearly showing its contempt for international law and the community that submits to it.

Convinced of its righteousness and considering in fact that any resolution of the United Nations or bodies emanating from it seeks to harm it, the Jewish State is becoming even more and more locked in a form of paranoia, assumed or not, which offers it a ready-made pretext to justify the continuation of military operations.
The question then arises of the sanctions to which Israel is exposed, and which, in view of the decision taken by the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, does not seem to worry a state that since 1967 has not ceased to sweep aside the resolutions taken by the UN.

Complex and Security
Supported by the United States, playing on the guilt fed by Western European countries towards it, Israel knows that it can free itself from UN decisions without any risk. Relying on the diplomatic and geopolitical balances that it exploits to its advantage, Israel unabashedly displays the disdain it harbors towards its opponents, President Emmanuel Macron having recently experienced this.
All these elements make Israel one of the most powerful countries in the world today, using the diplomatic and moral rope, constantly arguing that its action has the sole purpose of ensuring its security. But after more than a year of war, indiscriminate bombings in both Gaza and Lebanon, repeated and no longer risky provocations against Iran, it appears that the conflict in which the Jewish state is embarked today is more about revenge, driven by a Knesset dominated by the Israeli far right determined to erase the Palestinian authority. Then by considerations of the security of the threatened State. Arguing that the conflict has now lost all meaning is not inappropriate.

Above all, this would make it possible to judge Israel's action no longer from a purely defensive and security point of view, but rather bellicose and useless. And if there is a glimmer of hope, once again it will come from the United States, where the presidential election is due to be held on November 5. Because if Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, wins, perhaps we would see a shift in US support for Israel. But here again nothing is less certain, and, in the meantime, the Hebrew State continues its bombings.
