Dog Haus and Santa Anita Park headline the hottest and coolest Oktoberfest celebration this year with 25 Craft Breweries, Authentic German Fare, live video feed of Horse Races, and Betting Booths.

On Saturday October 12 at "the great race place," which boasts a spacious and plush infield heralded as a premier outdoor venue for everything from world-class concerts to festivals, Santa Anita Park and Dog Haus are hosting their first annual Oktoberfest extravaganza.

Leaving no stein empty, this Oktoberfest party has something for everyone.  Ja, there will be beer, and lots of it.  On tap are 28 German and craft beer breweries including Golden Road, New Belgium, Stone, Epic, Bootleggers, Speakeasy and Angel City among others and many more family-friendly activities.

Want some authentic German fare to accentuate your beer; they have that as well courtesy of Santa Anita Chef Eric Maranowski, his specialty cuisine and German Pretzel purveyors.  Dog Haus, Southern California's destination for gourmet hot dogs and sausages, is bringing the Best of the Würst, serving Beer Brat Dogs, Sausages and Tater Tots.

No Oktoberfest is complete without music, and Santa Anita Park's festival has an artist lineup sure to please, including Bavarian Wunderband and The Spazmatics--plus a special appearance by Boogie Knights. Bavarian Wunderband, a six-piece combo performing authentic German oom-pah band favorites will have the crowd on their feet and flapping their wings to the "Chicken Dance" and toasting each other with "Ein Prosit", as well as conducting an Alpenhorn blowing competition. The members of Bavarian Wunderband bring authenticity to Oktoberfest with more than just music--they are known for their gorgeous German costumes as well.

For people who want to get their groove on, 80's New Wave wonders The Spazmatics are sure to please, making it the most rocking Oktoberfest ever. As a special bonus, Boogie Knights, "the greatest disco revival show in the world", are scheduled to bring their dance floor vibe to the event. All of this adds up to an incredibly fun and energetic lineup of live music that's guaranteed to please.

Pasadena personality extraordinaire and host Bryan Gallyot will work the stage, while Santa Anita's own MC José Contreras will be on hand to assist people with racing terminology and betting booths while they are watching a giant live video feed of the races in real time.

For those that want to compete for more than most beers consumed, the festivities also include an official Corn Toss competition, Stein holding contest and the always popular costume contest with categories including Child, Traditional Man and Woman, Sexiest Man and Woman and New School.

Children will also enjoy the family friendly activity zone that includes a visit with SeaBiscuit, Pony Rides, Face Painting, a Bounce House, Photo Booth and more!
