Family of Robin Williams Continues to Dispute Estate

Robin Williams, who committed suicide a year ago, in addition to leaving behind a devastated adoring fan base, friends, colleagues and equally devastated family members he also left a very large estate, the majority of which he gifted traditionally.

Mr. Williams made bequeaths as he saw fit. The interpretation of the estate, which was written in traditional terminology, common to estate planning, without the need of additional interpretations, made provision for his three children as well as his new wife.

Williams, who had been married twice previously, married Susan Schneider in 2011.

As in any estate, with any value, monetary or sentimental, those involved become unrecognizable in behaviors and actions. Accusations, especially those that violate the life, memory or lifestyle of the dead become the norm and especially in instances where the spouse is not the biological parent to the children.

Mr. Williams’ estate is no different. His third wife of three years and his three children from two previous marriages went to court again this week over fighting over the language and definition of property falling into the language categories.
