Business News: Silicon Valley Exec Dies in Horrific Pool Accident

Jim Tramel, a Silicon Valley executive, died Easter Sunday giving his life in an attempt to save his nine-year-old daughter, the ultimate act of heroism, as she suffered an electric shock in the family pool. He was 43.

Tramel, a former Facebook and Paypal Executive, from Burlingame had taken his family to their Palm Springs desert home for the holiday weekend where the tragic accident occurred.

Reports indicated Tramel witnessed his daughter in distress in the family pool and jumped in to save her when he received a fatal shock. His daughter remains in critical condition.

Of the seven individuals electrocuted, Tramel and his daughter were the most severe and five others suffered mild injuries.

A Jim Tramel Memorial Fund GoFundMe page has been set up as according to RevJet CEO, Mitchell Wiseman to be presented to his wife, Kim for "use as she chooses for the welfare and education of her children,"

"Please help us raise money to be used (and/or donated to one or more non-profits) by the wife of our beloved colleague Jim Tramel, who died on Easter Sunday in a tragic pool accident while trying to save one of his 3 beautiful children.   We are, in a word, heartbroken" Mitchell said.
