Geoffrey Portway, the final of three men who met online, has been charged with sending explicit messages that included plotting to kidnap, rape, torture, and murder children and then dismember and eat them.

Portway, from Boston, was arrested in May on charges he was the leader in plotting these heinous and disturbing crimes. He has pled guilty to possession and distribution of child pornography and solicitation to commit a crime of violence.

Federal authorities raided Portway’s Worchester, Massachusetts, home to find a torture chamber inside a locked basement with a butcher’s kit, a child size coffin, handcuffs, gags, rope, and baby clothes. Court documents also reveal a soundproof room with a metal cage and a steel autopsy table was also found.

Authorities were led to Portway, who used the name “fat Longpig” as his online handle, through his chat room conversations which included over 4,500 conversations with two other men where the dialogue was specific to the actions of rape, torture, murdering and dismembering children.

The online chats, confiscated by police, showed Portway called his basement a "dungeon" where he intended to "keep kidnapped children while he sexually abused them and as a place to eventually murder and cannibalize the children," according to multiple online sources.

Portway’s computer also contained child pornography which included images of child cannibalism.

According to sources close to the investigation Portway, who is scheduled to be sentenced September 17, will receive at minimum 27 years for his crimes.

As Portway didn’t actually commit the barbaric, unthinkable, and brutal crimes he clearly planned with precision and spent hours fantasizing and plotting, he escapes the life sentence of those who follow through and exact their deviance on civilized members of society.

The two other men, one a puppeteer who chatted with Portway and offered to kidnap children from a Florida church where he worked, have already been sentenced.
