Kim Kardashian West Robbed at Gunpoint; Kanye West Cancels Concert Mid-Song Citing "Family Emergency"

Kim Kardashian West, reality television star and wife of musician Kanye West, was robbed at gunpoint of $10million dollars in jewelry while staying at a private residence in Paris for Fashion Week, according to media reports and her publicist.

The voluptuous entrepreneur was bound and locked in the bathroom of the luxury residence where she was staying while two men, who had gained entry into the home posing as police officers, went for the jewels. One of the men placed a gun at her temple demanding information.

French investigators indicated as many as five men may have been involved in the heist with only two entering the home. They escaped on motor scooters.

Kanye West, who was performing at the time in Mets Stadium in Queens, New York, was captured on video the moment he found out of the robbery. He stopped mid-song and explained to a stunned audience that he had to leave, citing a "family emergency."

No word on whether the couple's two children, North and Saint, were with Ms. Kardashian-West at the time of the invasion. It was also unclear as to whether her personal security staff remained active outside of personal engagements and public appearances.

Kardashian reportedly spoke with investigators and left the country on a private jet. It was not reported if she planned to return to the United States, rendezvous with husband Kanye, or return to Paris for the remainder of Fashion Week.

Making pre-robbery headlines in Paris, Kardashian debuted a minimalistic look, with simple make-up choices. So simplistic, in fact with only what appears to be enhancing eye shadow and mascara, in her choices she was dubbed "make-up free."

Her pictures show a major departure from her full make up usage and may become a trend as many other celebrities have taken on the make-up free or minimalistic look fighting the stereotype of Madison Avenue definition of beauty.
