Marvel Studios Dominates WALT DISNEY’s Release Date Calendar

Walt Disney Pictures Studios announced recently updates to the release schedule that includes Marvel franchise favorites providing tent pole support to the studios two year window.

Iron Man 3slated for May 3, 2013 has Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as the superhero/electronic entrepreneur playboy, Tony Stark, in a fight for dominance against an enemy whose reach, grasp and determination for destruction holds no boundaries.  Iron Man 3” is presented in 3D by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. “Iron Man 3is distributed by the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Studios.

"Thor: The Dark World" slated for November 8, 2013 continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. Thor: The Dark World” also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. "Thor: The Dark World" is presented in 3D by Marvel Studios and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Following in 2014 Walt Disney Pictures Studios has announced two additional Marvel titles “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” slated for April 4, 2014 and “Guardians of the Galaxy” in August 2014. An additional Marvel title “Ant-Man” is slated for November 6, 2015.

WALT DISNEY ANIMATION and NATURE

Walt Disney Pictures’ “Phineas and Ferb,” from producers David Hoberman and Todd Liberman, has been pushed back from it slated release date of July 2013 to an undetermined 2014 date.

Walt Disney Studios also announced four additional title releases over the next three years including “Saving Mr. Banks” slated for December 20, 2013; an untitled DISNEY animation project in November 2014 and an untitled PIXAR project set for November 2015. DisneyNature is set to release “Bears” on April 18, 2014.
