Although the Duke of Edinburgh is entitled to a full state funeral, he impressed his wishes for minimal "fuss" and as such the ceremony commemorating his passing will include a military funeral at St. George's Chapel and a burial at Frogmore Castle. It is expected the same level of ceremony which honored both Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, will honor Prince Philip.

The funeral is expected to be held April 17 or April 19 which is the customary eight to ten days mourning period designated by British law.
