CORONA VIRUS CASES SPIKE, Declarations Akin to War as Leaders Seek to Slow Spread (National Closures)

The Coronavirus, now classified as a worldwide pandemic, the likes of which have n ever been fictionalized, has caused an unprecedented government response as cases in the U.S. spike and the global death rate is now at 3.75%.

In rapid succession, the virus, which is virtually undetectable, has marched with stunning victory across continents and in less than two months, since the first confirmed case in the continental United States, is present in 47 states.

Centers for Disease Control Explains Sobering Expectations

It is the hope of everyone, that a vaccine, a cure, or even an antibody that will create vulnerabilities in the strength of the virus. To date, the CDC acknowledges the expectation of exposure, sickness and substantial increased risk of death, will greatly increase over the next 12 to 18 months.

This time frame, March 2020 through October 2021, the CDC expects at least ¼ of the U.S. population to be exposed to the virus, the expectation of the degree of sickness has two determining factors, age and underlying medical issues.

The breakdown of medical expectation by the CDC falls into above 60 with those at age of 80 and above falling into the extreme care and caution demographic. Individuals who are in the age bracket of 80 and above and have underlying medical issues are the greatest risk. Any form of weakened immune system essentially becomes the most fertile ground of the disease to create the gravest outcome.

Those in this age demographic who do not have any additional medical concerns, underlying medical issues that cause a weakened immune system, as there is no vaccine for COVID-19, the only suggestion from the nation's top physicians are to be vigilante, follow all suggestions for sanitizing home and personal space, and keeping ones immune system strong through better diet, rest and exercise is key to surviving.

Exposure is expected across the board, the greater the interaction with crowds, shoulder to shoulder activity is the greatest exposure, a four square guard, such as any activity where seating is individually controlled could be maintained with diligence, with exposure limited to one to three people, such as a movie theater where individual's choose seating. An eight square grid, or middle seating, increases the exposure. It's a personal choice.

Unfortunately, those who are exposed and do not seek treatment as the symptoms are slight and really wouldn't warrant a doctor's visit, run the risk of becoming unknown carriers. Hosts to the virus and without treatment, and there is no known treatment. Rest, plenty of fluids, Vitamin C similar choices of self-medication as one would use if one had the flu.

Those with mild symptoms exposure cases are expected to recover in two to 14 days.

The CDC is clear on one through line fact, the epidemic in the United States is just beginning and many more will be exposed, become sick and depending on age and underlying medical conditions could die. Moreover, during the traditionally of high flu season, unless precautions are taken the exposure, sickness and death rate could increase.

For many who consider themselves immortal, master's of their universe, champions of life, the exposure to COVID-19 is a wake-up call and one that could bring the population into a clearer understanding the COVID-19 virus does not discriminate.

The Deadly Corona Virus, a Disease Relative of SARS, Remains Undaunted

Closures, Disruptions, and Hard Truths

As the disease has had approximately six months running time on the population, as disease investigating teams are not immediately dispatched even to hot spot areas at the first case of an apparent flu death, any medical progress is also six months behind.

Effective Thursday March 12, 2020, there are 128,000 cases and 4,700 deaths a mortality rate of 3.76%. In order to stop, slow or stall the spread of the virus, President Trump and individual governors are taking drastic and unprecedented actions including mass quarantine.

For some aspects of everyday life run the risk of disruption. It is safe to say 90% of the population will face some level of disruption either minor or massive. The financial loss could be staggering, with revenue generated from cancelled events, which many believe will be rescheduled in October 2020.

The CDC does not recognize October 2020 as an end date of the exposure threat through shoulder to shoulder activity.

As of today, key sporting event cycles and special sporting events have been permanently suspended or suspended throughout the remaining season. Other sports have delayed the start of the season.

Will the Olympics go forward? The Olympic Committee has not issued an official determination. Although it is possible that certain nations may be prohibited from competition. As long flights, with limited circulating air, should be avoided according to the CDC, the likelihood of business as usual seems slim.

The United States government is working on a three-month plan, with all government buildings closed until further notice to the general public. The Smithsonian Museums are closed, Arlington National Cemetery, all public tours of the U.S. Capital has been suspended.
