It has been seven weeks since Stephan Paddock unleashed hell upon 22,000 concert goers celebrating the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, killing 58 and injuring 546 before Las Vegas Metro Police pinpointed his location and forced entry.

The details of what Paddock, 64, had planned are becoming clearer, as authorities have released new information indicating that the sometime gambler and real estate investor, had managed to smuggle more than 5000 round of ammunition into his 32nd Floor luxury suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Las Vegas Metro Police indicated Paddock had used 1100 rounds during the mass shooting, which is the nation’s deadliest and had another 4400 rounds available in his suite. His plan was obviously to create an Armageddon and leave none alive.

Motive, which survivors and loved ones grapple to make sense of the senseless, seems as elusive as it was the morning the mass shooting initially made headlines.

From all accounts, Paddock meticulously planned the attack. His choice of room created the trajectory necessary for mass carnage, the speed of the weapons, some modified with a bump stock to create semi-automatic rapidity, were all fully loaded and positioned for minimal loss of time between reload.

Additionally, when he checked-in he carried ten “range” bags and a computer. Within the ten bags were 24 weapons. One handgun, which he used to commit suicide and 23 other various rifles including seven standard functioning from two separate manufactures, one AR-15 used by the military with a forward front grip, one AK-47, one AR-10 battle rifle, and one made to order weapon.

Update: Gunman Kills at least 58; Injures more than 500 in Las Vegas Concert Shooting

Twelve of the weapons were modified with a bump stock to increase firing speed and velocity. He purchased high capacity magazines and at least two of the rifles were fully loaded on bi-pods ready to use if he exhausted all the ammunition from his first two weapons positioned in two separate windows of the suite.
