Scotty McMillan Monster Mom Takes Plea Deal

Jillian Tait the monster mom of Scotty McMillan, the three-year-old Chester County Pennsylvania toddler tortured and murder by her and her live-in boyfriend in September 2014, has accepted a plea deal acknowledging her responsibility in the death.

The plea deal, accepted by Tait in April 2017, spare the 33-year-old the death penalty. She is expected to receive the maximum 128 years in prison.

Prosecutors deemed the deal was necessary to secure Tait as a critical witness against Gary Fellenbaum, 25, whom they believe inflicted the fatal blows against the toddler.

Tait, mandated by the plea deal, plead guilty to third-degree murder in the torture death in which she admitted to hanging the child upside down and hitting him with a skillet.

The trial for her accomplice Gary Fellenbaum, 25, is scheduled to begin in September. The plea deals were accepted after Fellenbaum's attorney attempted to mount a "not guilty" by mental defect defense.

Common Pleas Judge William P. Mahon, who has called the action "pure evilness," granted a motion to postpone allowing for Fellenbaum's attorney to secure a competency hearing which concluded with the defendant being deemed fit to stand trial.

The bruised and battered body of Scotty McMillan captured headlines around the world as the senseless tragedy and horrific abuse was exposed.

Tait, according to court records, met Fellenbaum at Wal-Mart where both worked and began living together within weeks after meeting.

The abuse began with open handed strikes escalating to balled fist stomach punches. the child was beaten with curtain rods, frying pans, punched with such force that he was knocked to the floor in his chair at the kitchen table, striking the floor, he was taped to the chair and repeatedly punched by Fellenbaum.

He was punched in the face and in the stomach. He was scourged with a homemade whip. He was lashed with a metal rod. He was tied to a chair and beaten. He was tied upside down by his feet and beaten. His head was smashed through a wall,"

According to initial reports, Amber Fellenbaum, sister to accused baby killer Gary Fellenbaum, "ultimately dialed 911 on November 4. By then, Scotty had been unresponsive for hours and had been put in a shower for more than thirty minutes by his mother and her boyfriend, investigators said. When the boy failed to awaken, they placed him on an un-inflated air mattress and went shopping, authorities said. The couple returned with a pizza and, after eating, took a nap and engaged in sexual activity, according to Tait's statement to police. Tait said she then checked on Scotty ad yelled for someone to call 911 because he wasn't breathing," as reported in the Lehighvalleylive.com
