UPDATED:Iranian Nuclear Deal Secures Votes to Uphold

Senate Democrats blocked the GOP disapproval resolution of the Iran nuclear deal from going to a final vote today. The vote hands the President a hard won victory at the expense of the long relationship with Israel.

Initially, thirty-four Senate Democrats voted to uphold the Iranian nuclear deal when Congress votes on it later this month. The vote moves the deal ahead unchecked by Congress. The historic deal will still face a full senate debate before the next vote.

The initial list of Democrats who supported the President’s plan are included in the first graphic.
