Paris Fashion Week: Patuna Spring/Summer Couture Collection -Tempting, Captivating, Seductive

Patuna, the Georgian couture designer, recently debuted her Spring/Summer 2017 couture collection during the Paris Fashion Week, earning rave reviews for the alluring, inventive, unique and inspirational pieces.

As similar and diverse as each individual, apparently disparate, Patuna’s inspirations for this collection and the unity is one simple word: Eve.

Patuna recalls the moment the collections visualized in her mind, the inspiration behind the art. It was while visiting Versailles that Patuna had the initial idea to design each creation in one piece of the famous castle; the colors found their origin there.

The choice of the single thread, hooked by Patuna herself for each creation, was like the invisible link symbolizing the distance between Paris and Tbilisi.

A woman of power, then, and a woman in motion, extracting herself from her condition by acceding to the world.

When the collection of silk and velvet satin appeared as a whole, it seemed evident to her that the serpent she had woven on each creation was that knowledge to which Eve had acceded.

Unique, inventive, diverse, similar, woman.
